The muscular system controls all of the body’s movement. There are three
types of muscles: voluntary, involuntary, and cardiac. Voluntary muscles are
controlled by our thoughts. They are attached to the skeleton by tendons and
control its movement. Involuntary muscles work without any thought. They are
in places like the stomach, intestines, and veins. The cardiac muscles are
also involuntary and control the beating of the heart.
