The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord, and all of the nerves in
the body. The brain is the control center for the nervous system. Some of the
major nerves are the optic nerve for sight, the otic nerve for sound, and the
olfactory nerve for smell. Nerve endings in your fingertips and body are
responsible for the sense of feel. These nerves carry information to the brain
where it is interpreted. Muscles and organs are also controlled by the nervous
system.
