Before I start about my country, I wanna tell a little about myself. My name is Khatira. I am 15
years old. I have 2 brothers, 1 sister, and my parents. I am a girl and I am in high school. I am
living in the USA now, but I am from Afghanistan. Well, I was born in Iran, but my parents are from
Afghanistan. I think it may be like being part of 2 counties.
Anyway, about Afghanistan, I never see it, but I have read about it, how it is, how it looks,
and my parents tell me about it. In my opinion, Afghanistan is a good place. It has good weather and
good food as well. I know a lot of people don't like the Afghan people, but in Afghanistan no one
dislikes each other. They are friendly people and I am proud of being Afghan. In Afghanistan a lot of
people can't go to school because they have to work and help their families. Now they can work and do
their studies.
Afghanistan has the best music. We have music like all the kinds of Afghan music: sad, happy,
dance, and simple music. I mean there is lot to say about our music. If I start, I can't stop. If
anyone likes to hear Afghan music, listen to Ahmed Zahir. He is the best singer of all. He is dead
now, but we still have him in our hearts and minds, that he is still alive for us.
Well, all I can say is that Afghanistan will be a better place soon and everyone is gonna love
it. Everyone is around for his or her counties and so am I. I am proud to be an Afghan. Whoever has
