Hi! I am Robert and I am 8 years old. I am a Dominican. Dominican Republic
is a wet and wild place to live. Dominican Republic’s language is Spanish. DR’s
money is different from the US. Each year there is a carnival called Carnivale Vega.
Some of the major cities are: La Vega, Santiago, Santo Domingo, Puerta Plaza, and
Sanchin. The capital of Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo. The president is
Leonel Fernandez.
The favorite sport of Dominican Republic is baseball, and they are really good at
it! The Major League Dominican baseball players I know of are the Papi—David Ortiz,
Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, and Sammy Sosa.
It is summer all year long there. Sometimes the power turns off. There are
beautiful hotels like Oasis. Oasis has 2 bars, 3 pools, 1 beach, some merchandise
stores, 1 fountain, 1 stage, and 5 restaurants. The favorite foods are rice and beans,
platano, and mangu. Mangu is mashed platanos. I love all three of them! There are
many tropical fruits like papaya, pineapple, sweet oranges, tangerines, and my favorites,
mangoes and coconut.
Dominican Republic is larger than Puerto Rico. Please visit Dominican Republic
because it is a wonderful place to spend time with your family and friends on your

Hi I'm Derick and I'm half Dutch. I've been to the Dominican Republic to Punta Cana and it's the best place I've ever been! It's a tropical country and it's capitol is Santo Domingo. The food is great so are the beaches and landscape! The music is so terrific and the temperature is hot very hot! The people are very friendly and very nice. In Dominican Republic they speak Spanish and I think a little bit of French/Patu. The typical food is mangu or platano. Dominican Republic is a great place to spend the Summer! Hasta La Vista!
