This is a new page set up to carry my opinions on Modern Star
Trek. This will include my take on all four series, and how
the shows have progressed. If you'd like your opinions posted
at a later date, email me, and let me know, man!!!
"Star Trek: The Origional Series," was the beginning of a
legend that has continued to expand all over the world for
the past thirty-three years. I really liked this show because
it really showed what Gene Roddenberry's dream was about: a
future built on equality, and space exploration. I completely
agree with it as well! I really liked most of the crew as well.
People seem to judge special effects when it comes to a show's
greatness, but I didn't care. There was an extremely diverse
crew, and a lot of older people seem to enjoy it as well. I
will always love TOS!!!
TOS: 1966-1969
"Star Trek: The Next Generation," was the second installment of
the "Star Trek" Legacy. It continued about a hundred years
into the future. The franchise has gone through a recent
starship change: the Enterprise-D to the Enterprise-E. The
picture above is of the Sovereign Class Enterprise-E.
I thought TNG was really great when it was making new episodes.
I liked the cast, and the ship. I just didn't like the fact
that there was really no consistancy in the show, and two
out of three of their last movies have be extremely disappointing. They've all focused around Data (Brent Spiner),
and Picard (Patrick Stewart). I think the show is also a little
'played out' because where I live, it airs twice a day, six days a week, and I find that retarded in my opinion. Most of
the episodes are good, but I've seen them all.
TNG: 1987-1994
"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," was my favorite of them all. This
is the ultimate Star Trek series in special effects and action.
This series also incorporated some new looks as well. It was
the first series to have a Black Captain. Being Black myself,
I feel honored!!! It was also the first show to be about something. People keep asking me about, what was TNG about. That is a question that is commonly not answered clearly.
Action was a huge factor of the show along with a consistant
story or something. The Dominion War was the best Star Trek
event I'll ever see! I loved all of the characters, especially,
Sisko himself. He was my favorite captain, and I will miss him.
Their last episode "What You Leave Behind," gave me tears,
and I just soluted. I really liked the supporting cast like
the Changeling, and Damar, and Dukat, and the entire Jem'Hadar
race.
I am really disappointed that the show had to end, and I thought they could have put the Dominion War on the movie screen, instead of rushing to end it in a two hour episode.
I just hope that we can see them again soon. Cheers to Deep
Space Nine!!!
DS9: 1992-1999
"Star Trek: Voyager," is my least favorite series. It's been like that since its third season in 1996-1997. I really used
to be a big fan of the show, but now, I don't know.
After facing huge disappointments, I feel disgusted that Star
Trek, must continue with an image like this. Most of Voyager
Episodes these days concentrate on Seven Of Nine (Jeri Ryan),
concentrates on romances, time travel, and Borg Flashback
episodes. Back in Seasons One and Two, you had consistancy,
action, and all of those other good things. People at like
I've betrayed the world because I no longer like Voyager. Star
Trek is not meant to be a soap opera. I don't mean have a huge
galactic war even though I would enjoy it.
It is well known I dislike Voyager in the extremes. But I think
this site is for others that may like Voyager, and people
commented on how great my Deep Space Nine site. So essentially,
my interests do not fall on this site. I think it is fun for
the most part. I do not expect this season to be any different.
We've already had good evidence through Borg Flashbacks,
close-ups on Seven Of Nine, and other S***!!! I frankly feel it
is too late for the show to recover and I am sick of the meaningless episodes that plague me.
Soon, there will be an organization in operation filled with
newsletters, and links, operated from this site. This will
also have addresses of the characters, and producers at paramount so you can mail and request improvements in Star
Trek's image. Participation is encouraged, and recommended.
VOY: 1995-?
