wrong wolf title

basically, wrong wolf's corner is all about expressing myself online. it is a personal webpage, technically speaking, after all. it should come as no surprise then that this site contains my opinions and stuff that i had made, as well as information about myself and about those people who had helped make this site possible. with many of such endeavors, i work in collaboration with a good friend of mine, jay. his mini-bio follows just after mine.

the site is currently being hosted by geocities. if things go well, it will eventually be moved to a paid webhosting service and, hopefully, with its own domain name. www.wrongwolf.com, or something like that, sounds good, don't you think? well, it does to me. it really does. and when it comes down to the bottom line, that's what really counts.

wrong wolf
why, that's me of course! in real life, the name's sarkhan baun. i am currently employed as an instructor and research coordinator of the physics department of mapua institute of technology in intramuros, manila. my work load can be quite heavy at times, which explains the reason why i'll only be updating the site once every one to two weeks.
i took up grade school and high school at colegio san agustin, makati, and graduated from university of the philippines, diliman, with a bs degree in applied physics, which may be considered impressive by some but i'm not really as good a physicist as i would want to be, humility aside. it's quite the same with my drawing skills; i may have a little bit of artistic ability flowing in my veins but let's face it, i can't even draw a decent fruit basket even if my life dependent on it. as per mapua's employment requirement, i took up my masters in education, major in physics, at de la salle university in manila.
my hobbies, those that i care to make public anyways, include drawing, writing, and making a vegetable out of myself in front of the boob tube. i also love playing paper-and-pencil roleplaying games but it has been a while since i have participated in a decent campaign. quite a long while, in fact; my last major campaign was in college and boy, let me tell ya, that was a long time ago.
my renewed interest in drawing comics has spurred me into putting up this site. hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed writing it!
i can be contacted at sbaun@yahoo.com.

jay fournier
greetings. my full name is jose k. fournier iv, but I prefer simply to be called jay. i currently work as an in-between animator (as well as occasional pr-guy and tour-giver) for toei animation philippines. i am also mr. baun's erstwhile partner-in-crime concerning some of his projects, many of which you will, hopefully.see posted here on this very site. we had been studying in the same school from since prep all the way up 'til high school, but it was only during our last couple of years in high school that we actually became friends. finally, there was someone I could talk to without having to dumb everything down so as to explain myself, and he had a wacky sense of humor, one of the many influences upon which, i would find out, include none other than douglas adams novels.
unfortunately, his intellect would also prove to be one of my constant frustrations. true, I was never studious enough to be included in the honors class (at least not consistently) but i certainly would like to believe that i was smarter than the average bear. unfortunately for my friend here, who happens to rate about as smart as any old mad scientist, that accounts for little. i could never beat him when it comes to logical arguments or debates. to him, i am about as precious as, say, a pet that he has a fondness for.
well, perhaps a little more than that, especially considering there are a few things i am capable of that his dogs can't do. for one thing, i can draw. i was reasonably available (time-wise), i could appreciate his sense of humor, and i seldom made unnecessary changes to  his work. we gelled. he wrote, I drew. and that's pretty much how we do things. on top of that, there is also my proficiency in spelling and my grasp of the english language...or more correctly, my knack at it. i couldn't give you a single grammatical or stylistic rule off the top of my head, but I do know when something sounds right, and i'm right about that a good 99% of the time. so as long as I had these to my benefit, I remain an asset in the coming new world order, when overlord sarkhan baun destroys and reshapes all reality as we know it...but you'll learn all about that soon enough.
so, here we are. ultimately i have my own goals, just like any other aspiring Filipino artist raised on both anime and western cartoons, comics and manga. i eventually want my own studio, want to make my own books and stories, maybe eventually create my own animation. but it remains to be seen whether the cruelty that is my life will ever let up. as I've said to a co-worker before, "there's a cosmic conspiracy out to ruin my life." regardless, i am perfectly fine with helping to flesh out khan's work. it's good practice, keeps me from getting rusty, and besides, he writes good stuff. and who knows, maybe one day something bigger will come of it.
but if not...eh, who cares. we now got a website up, dude! rock on!
