1. The Artistic Aspect
The artistic aspect called Pencak is where Silat is done in a dancelike manner to the accompaniment of Silat music. Though the movements are very graceful they are quite effective when used as a self-defence. This aspect of training brings out grace, style, beauty and inner / aesthetic values and expressions.

The Self-defence Aspect
The self-defence aspect teaches effective empty handed self-defence techniques that may progress into defense against weapons and traditional weapons techniques. Student learn to understand their body movement in relation to self-defence techniques. This aspects combines effective methodologies with natural body movements enabling the students to control their movements understand their own physical abilities in coping with an attacker without the application of physical and brute strength.

The Sports Aspect
The sports aspect will train Silat student to participate in Silat competitions based on the
rules (Click here to see the rules) of the World Pencak Silat Federation. Combines self-defence techniques adapted to sporting applications with physical training for endurance and stamina, with a hint of artistic movements. Training tends to be hard but flexible; competitions are full contact with body protectors.
