Postosuchus was a basal archosaur that lived during the Late Triassic, during the beginning of the dinosaur reign. This ancient animal was the top predator in the arid Arizona of 230 million years ago.

Utahraptor ostrommaysorum was a member of the dinosaurian clan maniraptora. Members of this clan include other dromaeosaurs such as Velociraptor mongoliensis and Dromaeosaurus albertensis, and other "hand theives" such as Oviraptor philoceratops and Troodon formosus.
