What are they? Cerbi are desendants of the three-headed dogs that guarded the underworld in old myths. They, like their ancestors, do have clawed feet, three heads, and heavly built bodies though they have changed in other ways. All Cerbi will aquire flames above their heads and on the tips of their tails when they reach adulthood. Females will also aquire ankle flames. The color flame determines the rank of the Cerbi but those who foster a Cerbi pup will not know the ranking until the Cerbi becomes an adult and the flames appear. Cerbi are highly protective of their bonds and his/her possesions. They aren't terribly social either so they require lots of space away from other creatures. How are they ranked? Rank is determined by flame color. The rarer flame colors are the higher ranked Cerbi. Cerbi flames will not appear until the Cerbi has reached adulthood and only the Lair Guardian knows the ranking of a pup. The pups are given out at random so not always the high ranking go to the best bonders (i.e I roll dice to determine the ranking of the Cerbi pups). Ranking goes as follows: Ghost Rainbow/Gradient Black Silver Blue Purple Green Gold Yellow Orange Red Ghost Flame is a white flame with edges of silver or gray. Very, very rare. Rainbow/Gradient have flames that vary in colors. Where do they live? Cerbi live in lairs or caves under the ground where it is warm. They can't stand cold weather so it is best to place them in warmer areas with an underground lair. They tend to like volcanic areas a lot because of the heat. If underground caves are not available, dense forests or uninhabited meadows will work for a home. No snow or mountains whatsoever! How are packs formed? Most packs are formed by a male Cerbi who has reached adulthood and aquired his ranking flame. Ranking has nothing to do in determining the first female, second female, and so on. They aquire the ranking first, second, third and so on in the order they join. All packs must consist of single Cerbi; mated pairs are not allowed. Mated pairs are NOT allowed to participate in the extended breedings! Your Cerbi must be part of a pack in order to have a pup. Forming Packs will be explained better here. Other Information Cerbi are meat-eaters and require LOTS of prey to be available for them to eat. They eat primarily equine creatures, usually deer, antelope, or elk. Most Cerbi will not eat smaller creatures such as rabbits, birds, and squirrels as they would need to eat several to be satisfied. They can be taught what to eat and what to eat so equines can live near a Cerbi lair. Cerbi were breed to protect and guard their bonds. They are very hostile towards those who may harm their bond or his/her belongings. It has been programmed into their minds and cannot be removed. They are docile and befriend those who treat them with care and who are friends of their bond. Total isolation from all outside creatures is not a good idea. Cerbi do need to interact with each other! Don't be afraid to get them out of their lairs once and awhile. *please?* |
