The Cards of the Magickal Onticle Salvatorium

The Picture Cards Upon Which the Onticle is Based

On each card the layout of the scene is similar. Basically, you have the title with the name of the Angel who is represented as a one seated on a throne or chair. In the title also are noted the character and degree of the circle. Below the title but above the throne is a window with either a sun or a moon. The number of this suit is half the number of the card itself. The subject wears a hat or crown according to his rank. The subject also wears a medallion upon which jewels (one of three various stones) are laid. Usually there are between one and twenty four stones in the pendant. Within the hand of the subject is a device, ie: a sword, cup, wand or pentacle (plate) upon which is engraved a number ranging between one and eighteen. The device is in the right hand. Next to the right hand is a small stand with a bowl. Within the bowl are one of the five various fruits numbering in quantity from zero to fourteen. On the left of the subject is a stand with a vase. The vase contains one of six different kinds of flowers. The flowers range in quantity from between one and twelve. Above the flowers and to the left of the window is a shield hanging on the wall with a crest. The crest will portray one of seven different animals. This crest may be absent of animals and simply have a plain design as well but normally there will be between one and ten of these animals present. Lastly, in the picture, there is a small animal either perched on the right post of the throne (ie: the owl) or laying at the feet of the subject. The animal will have a chain about it with the engraved number it represents. These are the suits found upon the cards of the Onticle.

Card Description: His Majesty sits upon a throne, wearing a crown of gold. Vehu wears a medallion with a large ruby on it. In his right hand he holds a sword engraved with five marks. Beside on the right, sits an empty bowl. Beside his left sits a vase with three roses. Above the roses hangs a shield with a fleur de lis on it. Perched on the left of the throne is an owl jessed to a tag bearing the number one ( I ). The sun shines through the window above the throne.

Card Description: He sits upon a chair, wearing a feathered cap. Yeli wears a medallion with a two small rubies on it. In his right hand he holds a sword engraved with six marks. Beside on the right, sits a bowl filled with nine apples. Beside his left sits a vase with four roses. Above the roses hangs a shield with two eagles facing. Perched on the left of the chair is an owl jessed to a tag bearing the number two ( II ). The moon shines through the window above.
