It would now appear that the rumors maybe true as three of Hollywood's top action stars get ready to fight Mexico in the long awaited sequel to the classic John Wayne film "The Alamo".
The movie is being filmed with the working title of The Alamo Part 2: Die Foreigner Die ! ( but some people in high places tell me that the title may be changed to The Alamo Part 2: The Revenge of Davy Crockett ).
Based on a story by Quentin Tarantino and Mark Stowe, this film will basically pick up where the last film left off. Some people have already voiced concerns that this film will not be very historically accurate. But the film makers assured me that they're approaching this project with the upmost respect for the actual events.
Since James Cameron is going to be directing this film, I doubt if anyone will have to worry about how true to life it's going to be.

Casting
was the key part of getting this project off the ground. Bruce Willis
is set to play the role of William B. Travis the Commander
of the Alamo. It's a pivotal role, one in which Willis gets to do
what he does best, kill a lot of people who can't speak English.
Willis, who is afraid of doing similar types of roles only agreed
to this project after he was reminded that the Mexican army spoke Spanish,
and therefore this film would be a departure for him since the villains in
Die Hard and Die Hard 3: Die Hard With A Vengeance spoke
German.
Sylvester
Stallone will be James Bowie the Co-Commander of the Alamo.
Stallone, also an actor who is no stranger to killing characters
who can't speak English (Rambo: First Blood Part 2, and Rambo 3)
got in a lot of practice working with an extra special Bowie Knife,
especially designed for this movie ( and expected to be at the top of every
teenage boy's wish list for next Christmas ).
And of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be taking over the John Wayne role of Davy Crockett. Everyone close to the set is whispering the word Oscar when they're asked to comment on Schwarzenegger's performance.
"It's remarkable," a noted producer told me, "This is his (Arnold Schwarzenegger's) Hamlet. The emotions he (Schwarzenegger) has to display over the coarse of this movie is amazing. The dialogue flows like poetry. The spirit of Shakespeare has truly been a guiding light for the makers of this film. I mean this is just like Hamlet, only at a faster pace and a lot less dialogue. It's really unbelievable. I think this is going to be remembered as a pivotal film that will speak for years to come. A true highwater mark for our form of art."
Other cast members will include Jack Nicholson as the Mexican General Santa Anna and Al Pacino as the future President of Texas Sam Houston. There's even rumors that Dustin Hoffman will be making an appearance as a lowly Mexican soldier who dies during the second act.
Thanks to modern technology, John Wayne will be making a special cameo appearance in the film. The same computer wizardry that helps the late Mr Wayne ( who passed away in 1979 ) shamelessly sell Coors Beer in television commercials today ( twenty years after his death ) will be employed to put the Duke back on the silver screen. Researcher are crawling through old movie reels as we speak, looking for just the right scene to rip out and cut and paste into their movie.
Rumors of the film makers doing a similar scene with the late Bruce Lee appear to be false.
Violence! At least that what my sources have told me. The overview of the
plot goes something like this. The dust settles. They sure do look dead,
but wait a minute. A dead hand can't move. Davy Crockett suddenly
jumps up. He's hurt but not dead yet. There's at least 90 to 120 minutes
of fighting left in his muscles.
I think that people are going to really be impressed with this film and the
reverence we have towards the historical facts of the actual event.
