In the United States approximately 175,000   known cases of Hepatitis
C virus are reported annually to the Center for Disease Control and
Prevention.
Hepatitis C is the a leading cause of liver transplantation .
85% of all individuals infected with HCV will develop chronic •
liver disease.
The (NIH) National  Institutes of Health reported that nearly 4.5
million Americans are infected with the Hepatitis C virus .
Hepatitis C is 4 times more common than HIV , the virus that causes
AIDS.
Approximately 10,000 to 15,000 Americans die each year and the
number is expected to triple by the year 2000 .
There is NO vaccine for Hepatitis C Virus
