This section of the site is going to have a list of stories written by me (including a play and essay). None of them are recent, but they're at least edited and fun reads.
In The Nick Of Time (1995?) 341 words | This story was written in five minutes as part of a worshop with the Ottawa Valley Writer's Guild. |
The Bliss of Ignorance (1995?) 255 words | Same as the above, but it's a bit more sardonic. |
Doing The Right Thing (1998) 1234 worlds | A story I wrote for an event at Trent University and spoke in front of a crowd. One person noted that while the idea behind it was easy I kept throwing in odd loops. I think it also ensured few people would want to be my room mate :) |
Home Sweet Home (1998) 4414 worlds | A really odd story begun when I was thinking about how mothers abusing children gets very little media coverage (though this is less true now than when I wrote the story). Despite the topics it covers I find it to be a very optimistic story in the end. |
How We Kill The Vampires (1998) 700 words | A perfectly logical reason for how we kill vampires. It's the only thing that makes sense, really. |
The Last Death (1998) 2491 words | A story written when I should have been doing an essay on Coleridge's The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, which explains the many allusions to that poem in the story. I really should have been reading it for an exam but this was more fun. |
True love (1998) 1743 words | Just a heartwarming tale about a psychiatrist and a patient who is in true love. |
Walls (1998) (1998) 1518 words | This story began while sitting alone in a cafeteria at Trent University and evolved from there. |
Alone (1999) 1441 words | Ways to cure being alone ... well, maybe not. |
Creating The Future (1999) 1452 words | A science fiction story about the future. |
Long After The End (1999) 2674 words | This is more of a dialogue than a story in itself and was quite likely the prologue for something I never finished. The complete lack of information about this culture -- even what the sky looks like -- was entirely intentional. |
The Last Coming (1999) 4797 worlds | My best story to date, this was originally going to be a novel and I might just get back to it one of these years. I love the prologue :) |
