Lord Eric From the onset of the household there was always a sense of family by all. We learned together, trained together, sang, drank, and cried together. Lord Eric was always and still is dedicated to learning and teaching history through active participation and active learning. His vast library was frequently used to research and choose names for our persona's, research our garb (and find that what we thought was correct was totally wrong), and just plain marvel at!
In Drachenwald, many a late night will be remembered hearing the clank of armor making or the buzz of saws building shields and swords at his house, which was always open to all. Nights before an event seemed to always last until 2 or 3 in the morning with people running every direction trying to put last touches on their garb (to this day I don't think I would feel right if my garb was completed a week prior) with Lady Alexandra supplying the much appreciated coffee.
Since we were all in Germany (and all of
us in the military), we developed into a close family. We all learned much
from each other about SCA and mundane life
