Greetings! Thanks for comming for a visit. Here's a little about me...(why does that sound *so* egotistical?) My name is Nicole Ristow and I'm a graduate student at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. I have a BS in Hydrogeology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and I'm working on my graduate degree in Water Resources Engineering. (Just what this world needs is another engineer)

Here's a picture of me and the gang hammin it up fo the camera. Trying to be crosses between the Jessee James Gang and certifiable RedNecks. I think we come closer to the latter personally...That's me in the center on the ground. Clockwise from the left is James, Jeff, Craig, and the cutie in the tie dye is my fiancee Eric. Nothing like a weekend at the cabin......

That's a picture of my cat Mercury. He hops into anything. The picture doesn't do him justice though.....He's a full twenty pounds with about an additional 5 pounds of hair. He's huge but happy. Just recently got him a friend, a nifty little short-haired black calico named Topaz...she's about 4 months old and I'll be posting a picture of her as soon as I get one. Thank goodness they get along now. Should've heard the attitude Mercury had for the first week. (I know...all my animals names are geologic. And yes Dave...put their names together and you get the name of your first car...not intentional : )

I'm a MINNESOTA VIKINGS football fan....Come on Vikes It's all the way this year. I'll never understand why women complain about football on Sundays...For one, those men sure look nice in spandex..... ;)

Let's see if I can tell you some other useless info about myself....... I like rock collecting, my mother gripes about all the rocks I keep stored at her house. And you should see the front of my Apt. here in the Black Hills. I also love cooking, in fact in the middle of October I will be teaching a cooking class on Candy Making.....Think Kraft Caramels are any good? You won't ever eat them again after making your own.
