"Sliders....not just a show...but a revelation.
The show brings an outlook on the world we live in today, the
problems we face everyday, and the choices that truly effect us
that we make every minute of our lives. Sliders is a gateway that
lets us look upon our choices of humanity and see how we could of
turned out. The thought of actually traveling to alternate
Earths, to see the wonders of what we could become, to face the
unknown, and to discover how we as individuals can be different
for the better or for the worse is truly exciting to even think
about. Sliders has opened my mind in ways unexplainable. It has
broadened my imagination to limitless boundaries and has made me
a better writer at that. Sliders has given me a dream to look forward to, if ever one day it were possible.
The 5th season has had a rough start with new faces and the
subtraction of two favorite characters, but we can look past this
and not bring the show down for what it has taken away from us
but what we have gained from it. New possibilities to theoretical
science, two new sliders trying to survive in a trip of
undiscovered territory, and new worlds. Even though the show has
been bad mouthed about the new things added to it, we still have
a great number of fans on the side of Sliders, who know things
change and can handle change. There are people who hold the show
in a special place in their heart, who love to imagine themselves
being a "Slider", yearning to be a traveler of
alternate universes. Also as fans, we have written fan fiction to
keep our interests going with the show, expanding the limitless
possibilities of the show's storyline.
I personally to save the show have recently called Sci-Fi to get
support from them to try to get them to attend chats to help save
the show and have tried to get in touch with Kari Wuhrer's agent
to see if she could make it to the chats. All support is needed.
I am trying and still will try to save Sliders."
