ShadowT's Life Fact of the Day

Wednesday, March 13, 2002
Decided to do my taxes today. At least start them. Oh, yeah, it's been a while :) I'll try and grab a new picture and stuff, maybe change the links on the left. Who knows? just wanted to say hi, it's been soooooo long. My dad decided to finally tell me when he's getting his surgery on his shoulder done. Guess what? It's during my spring break. So, instead of getting the break I desperately need, I have to stay home. Not that I'm mad about his surgery (I'm not a dick you know. The sooner he gets it done, the better in my opinion) but he first told me that it would be after the summer. Then he said he was going to have it sooner, but he didn't know when. I asked him to just let me know when it was as soon as he found out. He finally did tell me, but not until last week. Spring break starts the day after tomorrow for me. *sigh* I REALLY needed the break. He told me I don't have to be around. Right... like I'm gonna go somewhere when my dad is having surgery. really. Ok, I'm done.
Life Fact of the Day: I only weighed 119 lbs in highschool. Not anymore though :)

I just found my report card while setting up the scan for the new Picture of the Week and you can read down further to find out how I did (see how I make u read ALL of my crap?). This hottie (Is that politically correct? Do I care?) was checkin' out my website (What do you mean "What website?" !!!!) and now I have the pull to update at least another day (Today) add a picture, and update my music list, though I can't update it until Friday cause of work (By the way, I packed over 30 boxes today for the big move Thursday). Which might not happen since the phone dude is coming to put my new line in and even if I can find the time, I think I have too much music to do that right now. That reminds me, I have to pay my internet bill. Or else you all will all be seeing a little bit less of me. Hey, I will make you all a deal. If I'm off work and have the time, pay my gas and give me a bed and I'll visit you for a day or two. I'm not asking much. Just a little food, a back massage maybe... you know, the usual.
Life Fact of the Day: I got five A's on my report card, which means a 4.0 this last spring semester. My accumilative GPA is still only at 3.788 though. Anyways, check out the bands Good Charlotte and Sum41 (you know Joey, I saw the song Fat Lip on MTV the day after you played the cd; I'm gonna steal it from you. I'll burn you the new StaticX or something. How does that sound? hehe, like you're gonna read this. I'll call you when you get your sorry butt back from Van's Warp, you lucky bass terd.) Dang, this has gotten long. Any longer and it will be tomorrow's LFotD.

Right, well, umm.... sorry for the rant last Tuesday. I apologize profusely. Now, enjoy my crowning pics I put up. I must now attend the ceremony: Mowing of theYard. It's a fabulous thing. You wouldn't understand. Maybe one day when you are King. LFotD: *sniff, I still haven't gotten that hug yet. Where are all the cuties?!?!!!!!

Ok, most of you all know that I hate to complain, and I hate when all people do is complain ALL the time. But, it seems to be my turn for a change. Ok, my mother moved out Thursday, and she left a crap load of stuff that's hers. She annoyed the heck out of me, so I finally gave in and asked Gus (My Dad) if she could leave a few boxes and then I could take them down to Chicago a bit at a time in my car when I come to visit. I mean, she was like, only 8 or so. He gave in, and then when she left Thursday, she had about that many (actually I think less) in the laundry room. All cool. Bu t she still left tons of crap in the shop. It didn't seem like much at first glance, so I agreed to pack a "couple things" up for her. Well, the day before yesterday was Beth's graduation party. Then went to the post party party, and had a decent time there. didn't get home until after miidnight, I think. Maybe it was later. I can't remember. Anyways, the next morning I get up out of bed early for work, trip over Dave (who was sleeping over night again cause it was late) and then work all day until about 4:30-5:00. I get home around 5:30 and eat some leftover food from the party (THANKYOU PAM!!!) and soon the phone rings. It was Matt, a friend from HS that I hadn't seen in a LONG time. He wanted to get Lab5 together again Tuesday night, but I couldn't make it then. So I was like, what are you doing tonight? So we got Matt, Jessica, and me and people to go see Shrek in Rhinelander, then we went to the Pizza Haven (waited over an hour to get the food) and then we got some smore stuffs and had a fire. I got home around a quarter to 2, so after the little sleep the night before and work all day and the night activities, I was dead. Went to bed last night just after 2, got up this morning and played with Rusty. Then showered, missed a call, got lied to by the person's number I called back (what the heck?!?! "You have the wrong number" the ^&$*& said. I was like, "Umm, no I don't. My phone has caller ID. I was called from this number" whatever, it turned out to be Matt, so the B#&* did lie to me). anyways, I decided to pack those things my mom left. Well, I've been doing that all day, and I'm still not done. Taking a break now, since it's like 5 and I must go shave and junk. I have about FIVE shelves full of glass figurines and other breakables that I haven't packaged because of not being able to wrap them up so they don't break in boxes. I also have already packed maybe 15 boxes of other crap, including a few boxes of shirts that I had to fold up. Plus all the hangers... I still don't know what to do with the stupid racks that the clothes were on. My Dad yells at me "I want all that gone!" like it's my damn fault. Plus, I did 2 loads of laundry today and still made myself coffee-cocoa. Even went to the post office and mailed some stuff out, paid my cell phone bill (by trasferring some of the little bit left in my savings account to my checking). I also realized that though since I don't get paid until the 15th, I'll be late on my car loan payment, but if I get it in before the 19th, I MIGHT not have to pay any fees. Which is a huge relief. Stupid $250 speeding ticket really killed me this past month (umm, you didn't hear that, okay?). So, after doing all that crap all day, my father comes home, and the first thing he says to me is "Why didn't you mow the lawn?" I almost killed him. I was freaking working all day, and anyways, it was cloudy and it's been rainy most of the last 2 weeks. I mean, I even went to Home Depot for him last night and picked up some things for him, but I got yelled at AGAIN cause I got the wrong size attachments for the vac. Like it's my fault he told me the wrong parts!! Then he wanted his change, and he asked for more than I had. I was like, umm, what the heck do you want 80 bucks back for? Your attachments cost more than $20. So he was like charging me to do him favors. I still gave him more back than he should have gotten. grrr. Anyways, that was my day minus a few other annoying things, like having a dull throbbing headache and realizing that I'm probably catching Jessica's cold. So, if you actually read all that babble, cool. If not, I don't really blame you. So here's todays Life Fact of the Day: I need a hug.

Sunday, May 27, 2001
Ok, I FORGOT to have a Fact of the Day yesterday (umm, thursday?). SORRY! I'll do two today :) FotD #1: Work sucks. Bend over and taste the peanuts. FotD #2: I'm sometimes nice and let my golden retriever, Rusty, come into my room and lay on a rug in there. He's fine, except when he gets it into his messed up doggy mind that licking himself is FUN. All that sloshing is sick, especially when I turn around and see where he licks himself. *slurp* *squish*... EW!

Saturday, February 24, 2001
Well, a ton of pics have gone up lately, there's a new flash intro to this kinky site, and even a suggestions area. BEWARE: the current suggestions are not for the light hearted ;) FotD: Imagine getting FOUR holes in your mouth, chewing and chewing and they are big enough to "plant a flower" in. Stuff goes in there, doesn't want to come out. Then it does come out, a day later. Mmmm, takes like potato chips......

Wednesday, January 17, 2001
Gah, just a bit POed right now. no update today, or for the last month too actually. Enjoy the new pic though. and wish me luck Friday, stupid wisdom teeth.....

Tuesday, December 19, 2000
Almost a month since my last update. I seem to be getting worse, but here I am. I keep meaning to redesign this sucker page, but I seem to lack the motivation, time, and ideas. I need motivation, so give it to me! There are new pictures up though. I hope you like 'em. Do you like our poses? Oh oh oh, I almost forgot, one of my best friends is visiting up here, she came up Monday. Sooo cool! I haven't seen her for months. Umm, my life fact of the day (week, month, WHATEVER...) is: I broke a tooth (still have no idea how I did it) and I had to get it fixed up. Yet, it got so close to the root that I was taking aspirin for the entire week after the fixin'. So I had to go back in for a root canal. Boy that sucked. You don't want details. Ok, now you know more than you really care, I bet.

Wednesday, November 22, 2000
Some new pics are up! I was just clowning around (SORRY!!! I know it was corny) I got my paycheck (those corrupt gov't people took amost $200 bucks from me!!!) and my school grant money in the same week! YAY! I bought a sweet Pioneer DVD player with some of it!!! I'm off for the rest of the week! Holidays are good for something at least! FotD: While I don't snore, I'm told I make noises in my sleep. I have no idea what kind of noises, but what can I say.

Thursday, October 26, 2000
There's an AWESOME Ren & Stimpy video clip in the downloads section. check it out! And, for my life fact of the say, I feel like chicken tonight... sorry, I am too tired to think of something :(

Tuesday, October 24, 2000
Well, even though I think it's great, since I upgraded to Win2k, my modem only connects at 28.8 :( and my scanner software won't work (I have to call HP and have them send me a cd), sooooooo, I won't be adding any new pictures of the week for the time being, unless I feel like adding some really silly bad pics... We'll see. Fact of the day: I am efficient in creating paper (oragami) chinese throwing stars. Well, now you know ;)

Thursday, October 12, 2000
Well, a new picture of the week is up, hope you like it ;) I'll probably put the clown ones of me (I really don't know why i did those, i don't especially like clowns...) up next week. I'd like to welcome BladeStalk as my fellow Gaidin. Woooo! :) And for my fact of the day... hmmm, well... Did you know that I usually get hiccups when I eat Jalapeno peppers? Well, now you do :)

Hehe, I got this email today: "I just visited your fishing related website and I thought you might be interested in my new site http://www.majorleaguefishing.com. It is comprehensive search engine for all fishing/marine related subjects on the Internet... blah blah blah." Don't you just love all the fish stuff I have around here? Oh, and one last note, please Please PLEASE PLEASE give me suggestions about this sight!

Not much new, just dying here in school. There's a new download if you go to the 'Downloads' section and I hope you enjoy it (especially you WoTHeADs!!!) FoTD: At school last night, I took the "nature path" to the one building where I parked my car, and I had really late classes in one building all the way on the other end of campus where my first class was, and some places were pitch black. I thought I was going to walk right off the path into the woods or something, and I swear there was a squirrel following me the entire time. Well, at least I kept telling myself it was just a squirrel...

Tuesday, August 29, 2000
Wow, it's been an extremely long while; I apologize. It's just that school has started up again and stuff is just hectic around here. Amazingly, I found time to mow my lawn today. Woohoo! I have a habit of listening to my portable cd player while mowing the lawn, but since i couldn't find any AA batteries for it, I decided to get my walkman out. Now, that I think about it, I could have switched the batteries over to the cd player, but I wasn't that ingenious at the time. So I grabbed an old tape and threw it in. It had some good songs on it, like Light in Your Eyes, etc... blah blah blah. Stuff taped off a radio station that is usually staticy. Well, I came along this parody of Celine Dion's Titanic 'My Heart WIll Go On' song. It was a SEINFELD parody!!! I forgot all about it. Well, I decided to pop it onto my computer through the tape player on my boombox. Well, for the life of me, I couldn't get that to work. So... I took my crappy came-with-the-freakin-computer microphone and put it up to the speakers and pretty much played the tape and recorded it mono with the mic. Well, it had this nasty hum in it. I noticed if i turned my subs down, it went down dramatically. So I used as ound editor and lowered most of the lower bass frequencies. Now it sounds really decent I'm so proud!), and guess what?!?!? You can download it as we speak from the "Downloads" section, so go check it out! Oh, and check out the new picS of the week.

Saturday, August 5, 2000
The other day, I was playing tennis and getting bit by stupid mosquitoes, and my friend joe asked if I was psycho. I wasn't really paying much attention to him, so I said "No. He's back now" and I started swatting at the mosquito attacking me (but it looked like I was hitting at the air). I didn't realize what I did until my friend was laughing on the ground at me.

Sorry, I missed yesterday's entry. It WAS yesterday like 30 minutes ago, but I was chatting and working on my music list, which is now updated!!! It only took me all freakin' day! LFotD: I have this awesome turtle lamp that I bought from Macy's in Chicago, the 9 story store!!!! It roolz! hehe

Wednesday, July 19, 2000
There is now a new download in the downloads section (I wonder why it would be there, how convinient) Ok, my fact: I have two favorite mugs. One awesome Batman mug, and one really sweet Jurassic Park mug. They rule! I used to have a Golden Retriever mug, but someone threw it out on me :(

Thursday, July 6, 2000
Wow, I actually did it two days in a row!!! Well, the new picture of the week is up, so catch it and take a closer look. Hmmm, I wonder what I can tell you about myself today. Hmmmmmmmm. Well, I'm pretty close to being totally broke, out of a job at the moment, which REALLY sucks, A friend of mine is having a party this weekend, and I think it's for her graduation, and I haven't got her a gift yet. Bah, I didn't even know about it until last weekend, and I didn't even get home until Tuesday night. Ummm, I've been playing the newest Lemmings game, Lemmings: Revolution. It's good lemmings (in 3d), but is lacking in many ways, such as the "oh no" sound when they explode, and the lack of hotkeys. And all the levels are cylindrical, like the label on a can. But it's LEMMINGS!!! Come on! Give me that at least. Ok, I suppose I still haven't told you anything new aboiut me yet, have I? I didn't really do that yesterday either... hehe, ooops. Well, When I was on summer vacation after fifth grade, the last summer before I moved up here to Eagle River, WI from Park Ridge IL, I rode my 5 speed stick shift bicycle (yes, it WAS a little stick, and it RULED!!!) everyday all day all the time on all the side streets, sidewalks, parks, sand dunes, etc. and drank at least 5 12oz cans of CocaCola each day. I got so sick of Coke by the end of the summer that to this day, I really do not enjoy the taste of it all that much, even if it has brandy in it. Now you know, that I am a man incapable of enjoying CocaCola Brand Cola drink. ;)

Wednesday, July 5, 2000
Well, I was gone for a while, and last Monday, the 3rd, I went to Six Flags Great America with one of my best friends (Joe) and other than getting on each others' nerves every few minutes, we had a great time! Oh, and be sure to bring a coke can, you get $10 off your admission. Ah, The worst part were the lines. I waited almost an hour for the Drop (where you basically freefall 200 feet reaching about 60 MPH) and it only lasts about 3.5 seconds. Ah, well. At the end of the day, the lines were so much shorter. You could basically just wait for less than a couple minutes to get back on a lot of the rides. I had fun, needless to say. My Life Fact of the Day: I was just given "the raspberry" by Fancy!!!
"[23:24] * fancy gives ShadowT the raspberry :þ= = = ="

Note: Ok, I decided that I will change the picture of the week this week, so if you haven't taken a closer look at it, do so now.

Ok, I skipped a few days! So sue me :) I didn't mean to, it just happened... I decided that I will archive my Life Fact of the Day into months, so I'll put May and June into one page when the month is over, and then make a new page about every month, depending on how often I update (Hey! Isn't this supposed to be ShadowT's Life Fact of the DAY? I try, you have to give me that). Ok, let's see. My fact for the day, about me, being ShadowT, speaking about my life fact of the day, or the week considering how often I've been updating lately, is interesting, even though most of my life facts are interesting, or just plain weird, and that when I am tired I babble, but that won't be the fact of the day, cause i suppose you already can tell that and it is a really boring fact of the day about ShadowT, or me, and I have come to know, or I should say that I would like it to be known, that I, Mike, also called ShadowTurtle, has a new life fact of the day, for today, about me, and that fact of the day that is coincidentally about me, is that I, ShadowT, apart from reading many book series, such as The Wheel of Time, also enjoys reading Shakespeare, you know, the guy who wrote those sonnets, and those theatre comedies and tragedies, such as Taming of the Shrew, and the Tempest, and King Lear, and many many other works, such as the Phoenix and the Turtle; hey TURTLE, cool! Ok, I am done being silly. Ok, you caught me in the lie, I'm NEVER done being silly!

Thursday, June 8, 2000
Holy wow! It's been an entire week since I have added another entry... Sorry, but the website was down for a bit because of some problems I had with Geocities. It's all better for now :) I'll update the picture of the week when I have some more time on my hands, but enjoy this one while it's up! Ok, so today's fact is... I've been reading the first book of the Otherland series by Tad Williams, and I have to say it is a wonderful piece of science fiction, with even a little bit of fantasy mixed into it. Really cool. But the first book that I bought had pages 151-182 missing. :( I had to wait TWO (count 'em, 1, 2) days until I could get a replacement book. But now I am on page 380! That's all.

Thursday, June 1, 2000
Well, two days without a new entry; sorry. I have a life, sometimes ;)

Anyways, last winter I bought a brand *spanking* new Santa Cruz Snowboard! It rules! I went out a few times with it, and then, about a month in a half or two months before the hills started closing, it was fated to be my last trip that winter. My second run: I decided to hit the park, and went down to near the end of the hill without a hitch. Then went for the big jump at the bottom, except my snow-speed velocity (thank you Monty Python =P) just might have been a tad too fast and I hit it a little too hard. my friend Joe who was watching said that I could have maneuvered around and done a backflip, but that isn't what I did. What I did was twist so as not to land on my face or arm and break something. So, I landed on my board in the plow stance (when the board is sideways, that's how we stop) and leaned back, butbecause I hit the ground so hard instead of just skimming the top of the snow, the edge sank in and basically stopped dead. I slammed my back and head, and the board tilted and the toe edge somehow was now in the ground instead of the heel edge that hit. That was about the time I realized my thigh was in pain. I decided to stand up and walk it off, so I got up and unstrapped, even though it started to tighten up and knot. Well, after about 10 minutes, I decided I should try to board the pain away. I hit the hill again (BTW, the chair lift didn't feel good at that point) but hit no jumps this time. I decided to leave my friends and go on in to the lodge. I bought a soda, and was pissed cause it was so early in the day. I decided to buy some Excedrin and go back out. Took two pills and beared the pain. At just after lunch, I went back in and swallowed 3 more pills. Then a little later 2 more. Then went over to my friend Dave's house, had dinner and a couple more pills there. Boy, was going out with an injury a mistake. Am I just stupid or incredibly cool? Don't answer that :)

Needless to say, I had a bruise bigger than the average person's head on the inside of my left thigh. It was there for over 3 weeks and hurt like you wouldn't believe; I was limping for over a month. I haven't been boarding since, cause the snow was melted by the time I got better :( There is always next year!!! Well, this long one should make up for my missed days.

Monday, May 29, 2000
Today, Webbie forgot the "/" in "/me" on IRC. I used to wear glasses, but now have been wearing contacts for a few years. I love contacts! They don't fog up for one thing. The frames don't break and I don't look so... um, so... yeah. But I HATE it when I get something in my eye (like cement or industrial strength detergent)! It makes it sooo much worse, and then I'm not carrying any solution with me. Ack! That just sucks!

Sunday, May 28, 2000
It's kinda weird, I was born on Easter (April 19, 1981), my birthday fell on the same day as the terrible happenings at Waco, TX and also happened to be the same as the Oklahoma City bombing. I am cursed!

Saturday, May 27, 2000
My initials are M.C.P. which my parents decided stood for "male chovanist pig." Go figure... :)

"One time, I saw a shark bite a whale." We all know the man who said that! All hail Dax! nah, I just remembered that. How could I forget? Anyways, last summer I went to some awesome cliffs and jumped off them. It used to be a rock quarry. Then we went to this remote cliff somewhere else (I cannot say, since it was private property) and I actually jumped the thing! It was about 90-100 feet high and I am afraid of heights. I always meet my fears, what fun is life if you can't have a little excitement? But even after I jumped, I still had the nasty fear of heights, and I had to climb back up the side of the cliff. My other friend jumped too, and he later said that he "did it all for the nookie.":) Anyways, here's the pic: smallerfall.jpg and I'll leave you with this one last word of advice: If a midget says your hair smells nice, run for dear life!

Thursday, May 25, 2000
One of my best friends is up here in little old Eagle River, WI visiting from New Mexico. Woohoo! I haven't seen Hilarie for a many months, so it's been nice seeing her again. Anyways, I pretty much have most of the Animaniacs cartoon theme song memorized, and my keyboarding is improving (slowly, but it's going) and I'm just peachy. Email me suggestions for something new that is wierd to teach myself (I already know the Cheers sitcom theme). That reminds me, I have to post my email address on this page. Here it is temporarily: shadowturtle@hotmail.com

Wednesday, May 24, 2000
Second day and all seems well. I just saw Mission Impossible 2 today :)!!!! It ruled! Go see it! Behind a picture in my room (a pic of some sail boats that I won playing skeeball in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri), there is a cut-out add for a computer company. It has the picture of the White House on it and in big lettering it says, "If something blows, we won't lie about it."

Tuesday, May 23, 2000
This is the first entry into my "Life Fact of the Day." If I miss a day or two here or there, I will make it up in the future sometime. I will put everything and anything in these weird daily topics.

For today: You know that song Ironic by Alanis Morissette? Well for the longest time instead of "It's like rain on your wedding day" I thought it was "It's like rain on a rainy day." Or when she says, "it figures" I thought she said, "it's vigor."

Dude. Any idea what that much Mountain Dew does to a person? And BTW, that poster is not mine and the kid who's room that is doesn't like them anymore. Dave and I saw to that.
