The Daedalus-class was one of the first starships commissioned under the auspices of the United Federation of Planets in the late 22nd century. These were the first to present the Primary- Secondary-hull and warp nacelle configuration typical of many Starfleet vessels in modern times. They featured lithium matter-antimatter reactors.
