Stream of Consciousness

A pensive fellow am I, sometimes while driving, or in the bathroom, or hard at work my thoughts will begin to drift. So what pours through my brain? Or maybe oozes? This could be anything that pops into the canvas of my imagination and needs a home for a little while. Some ideas are silly and amusing, others might be a little more involved. Perhaps you might identify with some of my little blurbs or find something so profound it stirs your spirit to inspiration. Whatever the case, I encourage you to involve yourself and email if you feel inclined. On another note: this page is dedicated to anti-grammar, syntaxmortem… I just kind of slop the words around (your eyes may need to adjust).

Free refills should be allowed in the drive through!

Sleep is so comforting and relaxing. I hate the fact that it costs me a third of my life.

Speaking with a friend (also happens to be a Dr.) I heard of a psychological explanation for the actions of human beings, that everything a human being does is motivated by selfishness… virtues of self-sacrifice, or actions that are not in our own personal interest

someone is willing to die for someone else, is it because they are selfish? Would I be selfish to give part of myself to save a stranger? I think the human condition, the structure of personality is far more complex then selfishness. Perhaps it is possible that people can choose an easy path of selfish actions, but that would make any outward kindness all the more noble.

Assertive, aggressive, submissive, assure, control, stubborn, manipulate, persuade, firm request, concede… Why is it so easy to confuse aggressive and assertive, yet so easy to determine the difference between submissive and assertive?

Is life a test? Dice to be thrown or a reason each of us is here? Destiny is terrifying, it implies that we are under the illusion of having some kind of control over our own life. Chance is slightly more comforting but it implies that there is no meaning or reason within the system. Is there a middle ground? Does that mean there is a blend between chance and destiny or does this middle ground take on an entirely different quality.

I understand that there are things I will not understand, but it bothers me.

Infinite is different from eternal. If God is eternal, outside of time, then there is no before or after. Does that remove the question of who or what created God, or does it mean that God created God?

If I become immortal, does that remove me from being human? Is part of the definition of being human mean that I must die?

I find it interesting that people evaluate one and another – job, earnings, sex, age, race, religion, and location. Maybe personality could eventually play a role in transcending such boundaries.
