A serving girl in a tavern in England, Katya fell in love with Lord William Godfrey. The Lord's father forbade such a marriage so he stages a phony trial and convicts Katya of witchcraft and had her stone to death thus making her Immortal. In 1958 she finds a homeless girl named Elena in Argentina and takes her in as her own. In 1996 Elena was killed by her husband Armando and Katya swore revenge ever since. Katya catches up with Armando in Paris in 1997 and tries to kill him but Duncan MacLeod prevented it. MacLeod tried pleading to Katya but when it came down to it, only the thought of having Elena's daughter fatherless stopped her.
