In house system Analyst on a 80+ user Wide area network. The network is running Windows NT 3.51 on a DEC Prioris XL jointly with a Digital VAX 4000-200 main frame using VMS. System uses a DEC hub to route VT terminals and PC's via 10baseT topology between two buildings in Springfield and one in Mt. Vernon. Responsible for computer setups, network integrity, system upgrades, computer upgrades, new program loads and troubleshooting. Involved in installing KEA, the terminal emulation software for PC's. Investigating user problems and providing vendor interface. Maintenance, upgrade and repair on laser printers and thermo printers. Assisting users in building merge forms in Word Perfect, spreadsheets in Quattro Pro and configuration of AutoCAD R13. Installed second Windows NT 3.51 network (Sep. 96) for Human Resource Department with 7 users using Abbra.     Applied Science Division of Tracor was moved under Vitro in June 1994. Vitro is a Tracor owned company, bought earlier in 1994. Now under the company name of Marconi. I continued to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) . In addition to the work under Tracor, I was tasked to T- AGO class ships correcting wiring for their SPA-25 (Radar system). Assisting in the lab on the Radds Program. At Vitro I continued previous work as hardware technician, and PC setup of workstations for the in-house LAN. I assisted operators in debugging programs, recovering files, setting up new user accounts and Login scripts on a 10base2 Novell 3.11 network. I worked through the transition from the Xerox XC-24 to the current Novell. I have worked with Dbase III, Freelance, Lotus 123, Word Perfect, Ami Pro and Norton Utilities.

    Support to Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Detachment Norfolk of Sonar and Weapons Control Computers (Fire Control). Some of the Task I performed were testing and repair of equipment, writing of maintenance procedures and running Reliability Maintainability Availability Analysis. Tasks varied from Technical Data Review to preparing cables and interface devices , as well as writing a Dbase III menu program for government supply form 1149, answering TFBR Resolution (field technician trouble report) identify problems, correct test procedure and identify defective part(s).

    Prior to employment at Tracor, I was stationed on board a FBM submarine, (USS JAMES K. POLK) maintaining the electronic components for the torpedo guidance (Fire Control) System Mk 113 Mod 9. I supervised and performed the testing, maintenance, and repair of the Fire Control System and associated equipment. Duties included responsibilities as work center supervisor, conventional weapons handling supervisor, weapons control coordinator and maintenance technician.

I have my own tools for maintenance of PC's and installation of network stations, including the crimping tools for modular plugs: 4-pin, 6-pin, DEC 6-pin, 8-pin, and thin line Ethernet RG-58. I also have a multimeter, common tools, a 10baseT cable tester, a Textronics 100MHz O-scope and soldering iron.
