I've been asked a few times. The mysterious webmaster...! Actually, a lot of info is spread out throughout my site, especially on my homeschooling and photo album pages... But here's a brief summary:

I was born just outside Paris, France on July 18, 1965. Both my parents were French. My father was born in Paris in 1906 with a catholic background; my mother was born in Paris in 1932 with a Russian-Jewish background. I was their first of two children together. My father had been married three times before and had a daughter from a previous mariage during World War II in Venezuela. My half-sister, whom I ressemble a lot, is still in Caracas and has three adult sons, two of which are married, and a granddaughter born in October 1999.

I lived in Paris till I was two and a half, then my parents moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada for seven years. My mother's mother and brother came along and were "left behind" when my parents moved back to Paris in 1975, with me and my younger sister, born in 1972 with down-syndrome and still living with my mother today. Both my grandmother (who was much closer to me than my mother) and my uncle died in Montreal in 1990, three months apart. My grandmother was 80 and my uncle 60.

We spent seven years back in Paris and moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1982 where I met my husband, a restaurant manager. My parents only stayed a year and a half in Calgary and moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in December 1983. Like a fool, I followed them (and finally got to see their true nature, something that distance might have shielded me from, but how was I to know?), and my husband followed too! We got married in 1987 in Calgary but we were still living in Toronto at the time. My parents returned to Europe in 1990 - two or three years in Hungary and Bulgaria and back to France after that. My father died in Paris in 1987 at age 91. My mother and sister are still there. While living with my parents, I moved about fifteen times and attended eight schools!

My husband and I (finally) left Toronto for Calgary (a much more pleasant and affordable place to raise a family) after the birth of our third child in 1992. I worked in various office positions from 1984 to 1992 and have been staying home since then.

Both my husband and I graduated with Bachelor of Arts from part-time studies at the University of Toronto. We met in highschool in Calgary. We've been together over 17 years now... He got me interested in Science Fiction and I introduced him to France during two very different trips which I will soon describe on my France page. We have four children, three girls (10, 7 and almost 5) and one boy (8 1/2). I've been homeschooling my children since 1995. I love the TV show Babylon 5 and its spinoff Crusade, as well as the classic movie Casablanca. My favorite singer is Michel Sardou. I also like lions which I collect.

That's about it for now.
