Vanetin follows you in, as much to see where you go as to make sure you stay out of trouble.  The Blue and Brown lizard creatures follow her in, chirpling to each other, and they land on her shoulders again.  Vanetin mentions to you, in a conversational tone, "This is where I'm going to put all of the friendly dragons that I've adopted/Impressed.  The ones who prefer to be alone, or with their own kind, I gave rooms of their own, which are in the hallway at the end of this Weyr."

    She smiles to the gold dragon who is up on a ledge at the top of the cave, and she gestures up there with a wave of her hand, "That's Lanoth.  I adopted her from {dixey}.  The bronze sleeping next to her is her first hatchling, Namoth.  Isn't he cute?"

    She climbs a hidden ladder to the ledge, and kneels by the sleeping bronze, scratching his eyeridges tenderly, much the same way a person would scratch behind a dog's ears.  Namoth responds by stretching in his sleep, then shifts a little and continues to snore lightly.  Vanetin grins and hops lightly down from the ledge, "As you can see, he's still growing, and needs his rest.  Be careful if you approach him, Lanoth is very protective."  You reach out a hand experimentally for the ladder, and Lanoth doesn't disappoint you, emitting a deep, warning but not threatening growl.  Vanetin grins, "See?"  Her eyes unfocus slightly for a moment, then refocus and she smiles to you again, "It'll be okay now."
    You hesitate, remembering what happened the last time, but she gestures to you encouragingly.  You tentatively climb the ladder, reach up, and, when Lanoth doesn't seem to have any objections, you scritch Namoth in the same way that Vanetin just did.  Expecting cold, scaly skin, you are shocked slightly to touch the warm, smooth hide of the dragon.  An eyelid opens slightly, the partially covered faceted eye slowly whirling bluish-green, then he recloses the eye, stretches again, and resumes his slumber.  As you climb back down, Vanetin grins to you, "How'd you like it?"  You nod, still shocked from the experience of touching a dragon, and she chuckles slightly, then says, "I'll ask that you don't touch any more of the dragons.  Lanoth only let you touch Namoth because I told her it was alright for you to."

    Vanetin continues back through the Weyr, and you see several caves with signs on them, "Those are my dragon's caves. They all have another entrance that leads to the outside, but they're all very high up, so I won't show them to you.  They are dragons, after all.  You can go in them, if you want."  You notice several empty caves, "There are a few other dragons who will come to live here soon that I Impressed."  She gestures to each cave as she names its future occupant, "There's Minith's,  and Jancent's Slueth's ledges.  Minith , by the way, is a green, and Impressed to me.  Brown Slueth is Jancent's, though.  You might've seen Jancent out in the Main Cavern. He asked me to provide a home for Slueth. I don't mind, though, he's a real darling."  She gestures to another cave, "That's a cave saved for a Nimbulan dragon, if ever I'm lucky enough to Impress one.  And there's another cave back there, saved for a Dinosaur.. I know that's no dragon, but they need homes too."  She peers further down the hall, then sighs, "Well, there're still a few other caves back there too.  You can still explore them , even though they haven't any occupants yet."  She smiles, gesturing for you to proceed her to wherever you wish to go.

    She grins, then turns, glancing about the Weyr, "Well, that's it for now, I guess.  But I'll continue to adopt, and try to Impress, and make a home for the dragons here."  She smiles to you, then remembers something,
"Oh yeah, if you haven't seen my Firelizard room, then you'll have to!"  She runs to the end of a hallway, vanishing through a door.
"If you've been to my Firelizard room, then let's go back to the Main Cavern."  She nods to another door.
