-welcome 2006!

a new year has begun, hopefully it will be a smooth sailing one. new years eve was spent with xx and her gal friends at kenny rogers for dinner before heading down to the packed esplanade to catch the fireworks. along the way, many "interesting" things happened hehe the fireworks was spectacular though it was more amusing watching the foreign workers kena foamed by young punks but they look so happy being foamed haha also saw 2 of them lying on the floor in marina with blood all over, quite err shocking to see them there when everyone is celebrating. went over to the guys place for gambling session but seem like theres less people this year and everyone seem abit tired or maybe i went late for the 1st time we used paper coupons instead of coins for bets hehe well for the year 2006, i hope everything will go well and everyone will be happy!

-DAY 1: land of the flies

here i am hiding in the hotel room from the searing heat. its pretty hot here my guess 33 degrees. sadly theres no wireless broadband in this so called 5-star hotel so i'm unable to upload this on the same day (different from usa where even a 3-star motel has wireless access). anyway there was an exciting start to the trip when we were told that our visas were not found on the system and there was a chance that we could not board the plane. fortunately, the issue was resolved 1/2 an hour from the plane's departure. so darwin here we come! while on board tiger airways, we realised that this was an inaugural flight to darwin! wow we are the 1st few passengers to darwin! as the plane touched down, we could see a group of photographers and cameramen on the runway. could there be a grand welcome for us because of the inaugural flight?? bingo! after we passed the immigration checkpoint, i was greeted by a pair of boobs oops i mean showgirls of skycity casino in blue bikinis and feather headdresses haha i was next greeted by... damn houseflies! yes irritating they are buzzing around your ears, quite surprising as the airport was airconditioned. the cameramen and photographers then approached us to take pictures and even gave xx an interview! we're going to be famous and appear on tomorrow's newspapers!! we collected the rented car and proceeded on to our 5-star skycity hotel which seemed so different from the brochures, not in a positive way. we were greeted by yes houseflies again. whats with australia and houseflies!! after a mornings rest, we proceeded to down town darwin and yeah the bugs are there too. there are very few chinese here, mainly caucasians and some aborignees who go around barefooted. branded goods are expensive here and not many around. coz of the heat, we went back to the hotel before 2 to hibernate again hehe xx appeared on the news on tv!! haha

-Day 2: busted for the 1st time

as darwin hasn't developed as a tourist hub, most of the attractions are mostly for nature lovers. 1st stop in the morning, aquascene, a place where visitors can hand feed fishes during the high tide which is usually around 8.30 in the morning. there were a numerous fishes there to feed and they are dumb enough to let you touch them as well. there were mullets, garfishes, catfish and others. next we went to the darwin botanical gardens but there wasn't much to see there cept for a handful of birds. on our way for lunch, something interesting happened. i was driving then and i switched to the outerlane. behind was this police vehicle and we were travelling at 60km/h and there was like at least half a car space between us when i cut in front of him. i didn't know that the police car was following us till we reached our lunching area. then he walked out and start blabbering say what i rush rush, anyhow cut will get into accident. wth!? i just apologised but in my mind i was thinking back in singapore we would have done that at 100km/h with even less distance between the 2 cars! well thats the way they drive so i just keep quiet. feeling quite sian afterthat, backseat drivers made it even worse. after lunch we just went to this place called casuarina which is suppose to be the largest shopping area in darwin. didn't get to buy much stuff from there, if anyone is expecting a souvenir from me i guess u might be disappointed heh nights here are spent in the casino just beside the hotel as shops here close at 5.30!! at the casinos, table games minimum bets start at $5. so the stingy me and xx just played jackpot machines which accept 1cent bets hehe.

-feeding mullets by hand -fannie bay

-Day 3: another nature-loving day

after my all time favourite overseas breakfast - bread with luncheon meat lol, we headed out to territory wildlife park which is quite a distance from darwin city. its like the singapore zoo but there were less animals which led to some thoughts - hmm singapore, just like Team Singapore where atheletes are imported, even animals are imported to the zoo. how many species are actually local? the place was quite impressive and even got to take picture with a snake heh went to another shopping centre called the palmerston which again nothing much to buy and night time casino time again! haven't won anything so far.

-road trip -owl starring @ xx

day 4: Kakadu

slacked in the morning and set off for kakadu national park which is 100 plus km away from darwin city. took about 1hr plus to get there travelling at 160km/h. cool. its now the wet season, so the more well known attractions are closed as the 4wd tracks will be flooded and crocodiles roam freely. its hotter here too probably 36degrees? and the damn flies are still around haha travelled to the so called town centre jabiru to stock up food as shops are all closed during christmas and also had lunch there. after lunch, the plan was to visit a rock near our hotel but seems like the sleeping monster captured the liu family minus xx and here i am updating haha

-travelling fast -lunch @ jabiru cafe

day 4: yellowstone river, nourlangie rock & ubirr

today is the most fruitful day in terms of photos taken. went for a morning cruise along yellowstone river. of course we visited the various visitors' centre along the way learning about the heritage and history of the aboriginal life here in kakadu park. for the first time, i killed a bird while driving today. i was at 120km/h when i saw the bird taking off but it was too late, all i could hear was a bonk and later found a feather at the bonnet when we stopped heh all day, we were haunted by freaking pesty flies!! one could really go mad by being stuck in a room full of these flies. the cruise took about an hour or so, taking us down yellowstone river with the guide introducing the wildlife along the way such as the jambiru and the saltwater crocodile. after lunch, we headed to nourlangie rock which is this really huge rock and there were aboriginal art on some of the rock. our last stop was ubirr which had a designated route for tourists to climb up to the top of the rock. reaching the top, i had a breathtaking view of the whole area. very breezy and relaxing. to end off a great day, we had a christmas eve dinner at the lodge's restruant which is buffet style. but the food not tt great though, its either too sweet or too salty.

-yellowstone river cruise -on top ubirr
-the great nourlangie rock -ubirr

day 5: merry christmas!!

after checking out of the hotel at kakadu, we took a 250km road back to darwin city where we bummed around the ghost town as all the shops were closed today as it is christmas! went back to our 1st hotel and spent the day there playing jackpot at the casino. xx and i managed to get 10 bucks from our 1 dollar capital heh heh had an expensive christmas buffet dinner and left straight for the airport after that. after 3 episodes of lost, i'm now updating my blog using the airport's wireless access. internet! finally! coming back to singapore in 4 hours time! see yah soon!

caught perhaps. love today, it is xx's fav show because of the male lead takeshi heh well felt that the director was quite good in making the transitions between the past and the present seamless and artistic. feels like a chinese moulin rouge. 7.5oats coz musicals not my cup of tea but an enjoyable show nonetheless. watched king kong couple of days ago now thats my kind of show haha action packed. beauty and the beast. naomi watts is very pretty, looks abit like nicole kidman in some angles. but what my friend said was pretty funny. "why do u want to watch king kong? a gorilla falls in love with a woman, issn't that sick??" haha anyway it was a 3 hour show which was quite well paced. one things puzzling though, in the trailers theres this scene where the director ask the female lead to scream for a take where king kong screams after her but its absent in the actual show. this show gets 8.5oats

after perhaps. love, we went for dinner at this unqiue place called central which is just beside ajisen in basement 2 of taka. this place has the interesting stuff on the menu. every heard of instant noodles being served in a restaurant? yeah this place has it! xx got a bowl of luncheon mean + fried egg nissin instant noodles for $4.50 while i got a plate durian fried rice for $8.80. i used to put durian in my rice when i was young too so the dish wasn't a shocking experience. quite good though. we shared a iced yuan yang drink which is a mixture of tea and coffee. from that cup, we learned that tea and coffee do not mix. one sip u can taste coffee, another u can taste tea so quite a fun drink haha u'll never know what u'll get

off to australia tonight, probably try to put some pictures here while i'm over there. hate school for putting test after holidays f&^%^%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-instant noodles and kopi/teh peng? or durian fried rice?

-1/2 way through

2 more weeks, darn thats quick. been spending most of my time with xx this hols to make up for the previous hols where i went to carolina hehe slacked alot, and caught alot of shows. lets see, went to jb with the dental guys to catch 6rm movies - harry porter and the goblet of fire and aeon flux. well as most would know i hate reading books(thats why my eyesight still not bad haha) didn't know the story when i was watching the show. xx didn't like the show cause it wasn't accurate. as for me, i felt that the whole movie was abit of a rush, cutting scenes here and there. and i thought that the chinese girl would have a bigger role since there is so much hoo haa about her but she wasn't. 7.5 oats for harry.

Aeon Flux, chick flick? yeah sexy she was with or without her leather outfit hehe although its too unbelievable for charlize to perform those superhuman moves, the revelations of the cloning system did made the show more interesting. most would be lost at the start of the show but slowly things began to reveal as the story progresses. 7.5 oats as well.

oh yeah changed my phone this hols too! finally a phone which i picked myself haha normally my dad would just get one and pass to me. i love it! so slim and black, although not the latest in technology, it has the basic functions one need. especially quad band, dun have to borrow phones when i go overseas now hehe

heres what i found at ntuc

tastes like... the xo beehoon in holland V haha but sweeter version contains only 0.12% alcohol. i like it! highly recommended. only $4.80

our current favourite past time is... renting vcds to watch haha only $3 a title and rent 3 get one free. so far, we had caught shutter and skeleton key. skeleton key caught my interest as i had first seen the poster in universal studios back in the states. so was quite interested to watch the show. quite a good show with twists. The title will put u off guard haha won't spoil the show for u guys, go catch it! or rent it haha 8.9 oats! 3 more vcds - golden chicken, duplex and ouija board to go!

27th November 2005 | Sunday | 10.58pm

-twisted 2

wow its been a month since i last updated. getting abit lazy haiz anyway its the hols now, 4 weeks of holiday before hell returns. had a interyear dota session on friday, not exactly interyear since there is only year1 and us but it was definitely fun hanging out at ds's place playing dota. different feeling when u play alone at home. we managed to beat them 2 games out of 3 but there were some unhappy moments.

Yesterday was the interyear games proper. was suppose to play basketball but ended up playing captain's ball instead because of the rain, which i wouldn't mind at all of course as i was too lazy to run around haha it was a tough match between the year 2s and 4s but we emerged victorious yeah and came in 1st! $40 bucks to us hehe after dillydallying for 3 hours getting cleaned up, we finally went for dinner at fish and co and had a sumptious feast of swordfish collar(plenty as there was one piece which wasn't cooked so we asked for an exchange and they returned with 3 huge chunks). This was followed by a midnight show "Saw II" which turned out to be sadistically entertaining lol there were plenty of mind games, blood and twists which made it a non-stop thriller. definitely recommend this show, 9/10 oats can't wait to watch part 1.

Happy belated Birthday XX!! see i finally wished u in my blog hehe don't worry u will do well in the exams! 5 more days!! hang in there!

finally, a saturday without doing any work or studies haha went out with xx to catch flight plan today, quite a significant show to me because i saw the world premiere red carpet event in hollywood! so it was a must watch! judy foster's acting was superb. had a really gd twist in the plot though ending was quite abrupt but guess that was the only way to end the show. overall 8.5 oats for flight plan. upcoming movies which i hope to watch includes the 40yr old virgin, exorcism of emily rose and some ra japanese show haha

met up with judy and alex at turf city to eat crabs at the qi guai hai sian. they have tanks of seafood including huge alaskan king crabs and lobsters and other shell creatures. frogs, turtles were also there swimming lol in the end we only chose sri lankan crabs which were huge enough, in the standard chilli and black pepper. the meat was fantastic! chewy and mmmmmm so fresh. ostrich meat tasted like deer meat and their other dishes were not too bad as well. the crabs were abit ex though heh but well it was a good meal nonetheless.

-flashed

had a great time last friday night with the dental guys, didn't know what to do and we ended up swimming at a friend's condo at 2am in the morning! just like in dental and medical, we got blacklisted and chased out of the pool coz we made too much noise lol outcasts we are. watched "the maid" after that and though the audio and visual quality wasn't that good, 2 hunky guys got kinda scared lol quite a funny sight

anyway as i was driving back from pie this evening, i got flashed by the speed camera! damn right at my face, blinded for a second. so dangerous... it was taking another car in the opposite side obviously as i was stuck behind a 80km/h van. but kinda dangerous for drivers or maybe i'm just too suay to be there at the exact second it flashed.

-Santa Monica

in santa monica in the winter time
the lazy streets so undemanding
i walk into the crowd
in santa monica you get your
coffee from
the coolest places on the
promenade
where people dress just so
beauty so unavoidable everywhere
you turn
it's there i sit and wonder what am i
doing here

in santa monica all the people got
modern names
like jake or mandy
and modern bodies too
in santa monica on the boulevard
you'll have to dodge those
in line skaters
or they'll knock you down
i never felt so lonely
never felt so out of place
i never wanted something more
than this

but on the telephone line i
am anyone
i am anything i want to be
i could be a super model or
norman mailer
and you wouldn't know the
difference
on the telephone line i am
any height
i am any age i want to be
i could be a caped crusader or
space invader
and you wouldn't know
the difference
or would you

this song has been going through my head this few days, it has such a soothing and catchy tune, reminded me of my usa exchange trip, walking down santa monica beach and 3rd street promenade, free from stress and worries, fantastic!

-movie

finally caught a movie with xx today, the last time we watched was like a month ago. caught deuce bigelow european gigolo today. well heard from others that the show wasn't good but in the end, i actually enjoyed the show! heh my kind of horny comedy. oh yeh the girl in the show was very pretty too and shes one year younger than me but looks so mature. maybe i'm just getting old. the show gets 8/10 oats for making me laugh lol

to my lab partner puiling, happy 21st birthday!!

-pissed!

Lorong Pisang Emas used to be a peaceful street where everyone was nice to everyone until some &%$#% family moved in to stay beside us. apart from occasional quarrels among themselves, i remembered there was one blown up incident between them and another neighbour. theres this neighbour who drives a noisy motorbike (probably a harley) and there was this night the %^$^%$ threw a bottle at him while he rode past. fortunately he missed but the rider stopped and confronted the ^&%^%$%. quarrels got so loud the police had to intervene. well, i never liked this particular neighbour but i didn't care as i had no contact with him until today! was playing vball with my bro and my bro accidentally hit the ball into his garden. so we went to ask him to help us retrieve. he actually opened his door and let his 2 dogs out! fortunately the gate was closed. f&*^&!!! want to show aggression issit asshole!. then he started to lecture us, although we apologised, he just said some rubbish as if we had hit the ball into his place many times. he then threw the ball out far away instead of passing back to us. damn him! want to guai lan is it, i bet no one in the street likes them, i would like to see who would help him if he is in emergency. probably no one taught him "yuan shui jiu bu liao jin huo". i shall keep my cool now and ignore this asshole forever unless he crosses my path again.

-freedom of thoughts?

when i heard about the case of students being suspended because of what they wrote in their blog, i was somewhat pissed... yes again, well then i remembered what i wrote in my previous entry and started to wonder if i myself would get into trouble, but what the heck! i always thought blogs or net diaries were more of a personal thing, how can some outsider barge into ur personal space and punish you because of your thoughts? thats absolutely ridiculous! absurd!

on a brighter note, finally received the whole collection of photos from the usa trip, its about 2.2 gigs worth of photos and videos! wah seh cd-r no longer useful. anyway uploaded some of the photos and sorted them in groups, enjoy!

-damn pissed

its been a fruitless day today, not in a gd mood. situation worsened by an email received when i got home. today, a lecturer walked out because we were 5mins late, so a complaint email was sent to the head and carbon copied to all of us. fuck! sounds so childish like a kid complaining to mum... now mum wants all of us to write why we are late and an letter of apology... what the heLL! now i really feel that the trip to usa really made me see things clearly, how fucked up our system is. right from the start, orientation week, we have already been brainwashed with the hierachy system. Hierach my ass! look at University of North Carolina, their professors and students are just like buddies, the profs even help their students to run little errands... expect the same thing here? i dun think so! 5 fucking mins... (and i believe the clock was fast.) thats all it takes to shirk all responsibilities and waste our parents hardearned cash? university! not primary school... damn it what a way to start the new term. now i have to think of a lie just to keep myself out of trouble, what is the world coming to... freedom of speech doesn't apply here unless u want to get retained. fucking hierachy.

frustration vented, now that feels better, ok this doesn't apply to everyone in the institution, well only of a handful of nice people around anyway

-home

wow, what can i say, 3 weeks of US life, woo! pity school has to kick in so early... anyway can't put down everything that has happened in the past 3 weeks. definitly an eye opener for me with many 1st time experiences! it was a pretty exciting one though 1st was that the beach we visited - wrightsville beach was wiped away by hurricaine ophelia one week later, quite sad to see the live video footage of the place on the news. next was that delta airlines - our domestic flight declared bankruptcy just the day before our departure from North carolina to LA, fortunately our flight wasn't cancelled heh and also al qaeda threatened LA a few days before our arrival there, so we're all glad to be home safely! heres a summary of the best experiences over there

1. SIA is THE airlines to take, esp. the long flying hours, with so many new movies and music albums to choose from, time passed real fast on board.

2.University of NC is THE university! most gracious host definitely! there were some confusion with our arrival dates so they booked Courtyard by the Marriott hotel to accomodate us during the weekends, and the apartments for the next 2 weeks were all provided by them! free! set me aside more cash to shop hehe

3. Dr. Marlene Teo is chio, confirmed by me myself haha and she drives a bmw 330 damn! treated us to this american sushi place.

4. US cars are cheap! and nice! lots of convertibles and coupes, Mr Luten, director of student affairs in UNC, pointed out to a Honda S2000 in the carpark and said he had one. we all laughed, until he said "seriously" lol showed us his car later in the week.

5. cookies over there are as large as your face! burgers have to be compressed to fit into your mouth.

6. lectures are fun and entertaining over there, professors and doctors help students to pour casts and take gauze and cotton rolls. no obvious hierachy.

7. drove a Pontiac Grand AM (over 2-litre car) during the weekends, had fun with leftside driving at over 110km/h. Cruise control is a necessity over there for the 4hr long drives.

8. went to wrightsville beach in wilmington and touched the atlantic ocean there. sun tanning is the main thing there, beach got wiped out by ophelia a week later.

9. frequently used phrases "with jingrong, nothing goes wrong", "laptop tonight?", "whats meant to be is meant to be" and the irritating motorola commercial jingle, woo woo woo woo woo

10. shopping at factory outlets got us many branded goods at unbelievable prices, levis jeans at US$19.90, kenneth cole wallets and belts at us$15 etc etc

11. visited duke university with jingrong's friend providing a tour of her school. beautiful gothic chapel and school buildings. duke and UNC are arch rivals.

12. Xueli cooks gd dry noodles out of packets of soup instant noodles, Jingrong cooks gd sausage omelette, Kenneth boils gd soups and siwen made sure our plates were clean at the end heh

13. siwen has a collection of her music, fashion and tour videos. not forgetting her sleeping xie zhen ji.

14. Howard Stern is THE show to watch at night on channel E! with crappy interviews with pornstars and funny x-rated games such as Lesbian dial-a-date where 4 ladies compete for a night with a naked pornstar. they get 2 mins to impress her (includes stripping kissing petting) and the audience call in to vote who wins. truck horns sound whenever anyone's breast gets squeezed haha

15. 4hr drive to washington DC where we saw the holocaust museum, US history museum, aerospace museum, lincoln memorial, world war 2 memorial, white house etc the scenery was "to-die-for!" did more shopping at the factory outlet there, thanks to siwen's cousin and boyfriend Jay. exciting car chase with me and the toyota corolla trying to catch up with Jay's bmw on the highway.

16. UNC showed us their generosity again by asking their students to bring us to a restaurant for dinner. had catfish with crab meat toppings yumm free yet again.

17. Prof Stamm, ex-dean of UNC actually sent us to the airport early in the morning on our last day at north carolina and helped us carry some lugguages up his car. now can't imagine someone of his position in singapore to do that.

18. LA doesn't seem as dangerous as they all say, maybe our area is safe. stayed at alta ciniega motel with a chinese boss whos so nice to us providing us directions to popular attractions and also hot water and stuff.

19. bought my very first oakley at US$105, discounted from the original price of US$150!!

20. Santa monica beach is beautiful! got roasted under the sun there. touched waters of the pacific ocean! but it was much colder than the waters at wrightsville beach. 3rd street promenade is mesmerising at night, like orchard road with buskers on the streets.

21. met the california gang at hollywood! had dinner together and at night, it was an all-guys night out. we bumped into a post emmy award party where we saw paula abdul, amazing race host, angel from buffy and eva longoria!!! just 2m in front of me! how cool is that! shes so stunning! after that, we headed to a strip club. it was an eye opener, real sexy dance moves and of course nude girls doing real pole dances.

22. Universal studios is an exciting place to visit, in my opinion better than disneyland, perhaps i'm too old for disney heh it provided an insight to hollywood's magic and also exciting rides such as jurassic park and revenge of the mummy heh on our 2nd visit, we made sure we made our tickets worth by taking the rides several times hoping to get good photos of the rides. The studio tour was the best and one of the highlights was a ride through the set of War of the Worlds where there was a huge plane wreck and everything seemed so real.

23. chinatown looks more like an asiatown with people from china, vietnam, thailand etc, with lots of imitation clothes to buy.

24. disneyland, not a very pleasant trip, rained half the day causing rides to be closed and all the characters hiding away. fortunately, the rain stopped at around 2+ to 3 and so we used whatever available time and rushed through the more outstanding rides and managed to squeeze time at toontown. night was disappointing again, no fireworks!! arghh what a waste!

25. other celebrity encouters include the world premiere of flight plan where we saw jodie foster, terri hatcher and a few others. xl, jr and sw were quite excited especially after they found out that they had missed the post emmy party encounter. at our taipei transit, we met zhang shao wei who was heading to singapore as well, probably to promote his new album. xl and jr managed to snap a pic with him heh

tried to summarise but still seems quite a long entry and missed some points. oh well, time to get back to reality and stress...

-hawker wars

the next time u visit clementi central's main hawker centre, go to the inner portion and u will definitely find a seat. why? cause the drink stall lady will nicely offer you one, whether the table is unoccupied or occupied. why so nice? cause there are 2 drink stall ladies fighting for custormers, aggressively. the last time i went was last year, when i saw the 2 of them quarrelling. yesterday, they were not quarrelling though, but still their tactics were still the same. well, the customers got nothing to lose anyway haha unless you do not wish to share tables with others, then their action of inviting strangers to sit at your table would probably irritate u heh

mazda's cars look good, especially the new lineup. but they are all auto except maybe the mx5. when the teaser commercial for mazda 6 first came out, they showed only the fierce headlights of the 6 and that was damn attractive, at least for me. but the idea of auto transmission and a huge 2.3l engine doesn't sound like good fuel economy. but todays paper featured the new mazda 6 mps (mazda performance series). new 2.3l turbo charged engine 258bhp, slight facelift, 0-100 in 6.5s, manual transmission!! but all at a very high price $130k. turbocharged engine doesn't have good fc too... darn!

6 more days till the exchange programme, abit of mixed feelings though wonder if i made the right decision...

-fudge

caught charlie and the chocolate factory yesterday, well... not really my kind of show but it was colourful and had interesting special effects. more of xx's kind of show haha short clones doing synchronized dancing with moves that she can follow to irritate me lol. however!! the show did something bad... real bad! they portrayed willy wonka's dad as an strict "evil" dentist! who put some "torture" device on his son's head, depriving him of candy and chocolates thus making him what he is today- a wacky psycho! haha i can assure everyone that dentists are not like that haha speaking from personal experience that is.

well, in about 3 weeks time, i will be flying to north carolina for 3 weeks for a student's exchange program. its going to be my first time going to such a faraway land for such a long time, and without xx... well everyone has been saying its going to be a good experience and shouldn't let money bother me. hope it will be!!

-insurance policy

went to watch island on sunday, wow glad i didn't give it a miss coz of expensive ticket price! it was non-stop action all the way, with all the cool futuristic equipments and stuff. of coz scarlett johansson was babelicious! won't spoil the show for you guys but its basically about ewan mcgregor and her(both clones) trying to find freedom for all the clones. realised during the show that my selfish nature came out coz halfway through i felt that the 2 clones were quite troublesome creating havoc all over the place, why don't they just get caught or be killed then everything will be back to normal. but then again even as clones, they were as real as humans with all the emotions and memories. thus come to the pt whereby is it really ethical to clone and kill just to get organs for transplantation? or to get clones to produce kids for childless couples and kill the clones after the job is done. well, its better not to play god, just live up to whatever age we can, then again, being humans...

-time

well, another week has passed. there were happy times as well as unpleasant ones which i shall not mention. seeing the incoming year 1s really made me feel that time passes so quickly. feels like it was only just yesterday that i was there with my tshirt tucked in, watches off, standing in 3s shouting the dental anthem. doing all sorts of funny stuff. was quite surprised to find out my blog is actually linked to other ppls' site and read by others. argh dunno what to write already go bend the stupid wires...

-absence

oopsie its been a long time since i updated. well, school has begun sadly lol had an interesting week last week. attached to oral maxilofacial surgery department, had a few experiences with surgical aspects of dentistry. of coz xx wasn't spared hehe, she came for a wisdom tooth extraction from which i saw gums being cut open exposing her jaw bone hehe ok enough with the details, now she has an asymmetrical face lol anyway it was a real eye opener seeing all the red and yellowish stuff. extracted the first tooth from my mum too heh

well saturday wasn't exactly pleasant, had to squeeze with 6000 people at ecp, spending an hour looking for carpark lot. and i thought singaporeans would be too lazy to cut out letters everyday from the newspaper just to join the contest. well there goes my mazda 6 (and my other car fantasies lol)... further more got xx's back injured and quarrelled abit. sorry! hee well managed to solve the dispute within the day. perhaps thats why we're still together after so long. one party has to give in sooner or later to bring smiles to both.

today, a friend of mine was very sad and disappointed over certain issues. well, as what i had told her, sometimes u win, sometimes u don't. just have to be optimistic and look ahead. be thankful for what u have around u heh sometimes, happiness is just so near u but more often than not we tend to focus on things that we do not have. so don't worry be happy! inspirational lyrics!

-surprise!

went to school to study with xx today, well was mugging till about 5+ when we decided to leave for dinner. just as we were walking towards the carpark, the car seemed to be missing. well, my first thought was that the car got towed away as i parked at the staff carpark. then she led me to a spot behind the bushes. my first thought was how the hell it got there? was it my dad? he was the one with the other set of keys. then the car looked abit different. it had a new set of visors on! oh man what a surprise! i was only anticipating tomorrow, didn't expect her to give it today given last year's experience. then vincent, alex and judy appeared haha apparently, she had collaborated with my brother to put the spare set of keys at the cardoor on the passenger side before i had left the house so that she could have the key to pass it to alex, who then went with judy and vincent(while i was studying &!^*&~!*&**&) to install the stuff and polished up the car. so cunning! hehe we then went to nydc wheelocks place where we met up with ivan and had dinner there, followed by starbucks for drinks. had lots of food, jokes and fun! very special thanks to ivan, alex, vincent and judy for the surprise and of coz the mastermind, my dear xx! really appreciate it, great start for the upcoming term :)

-bm bitch

caught war of the worlds at engwah angmokio today. the theatre well is getting quite bad. seats with cushion sliced apart, sticky floor, were given corner of the centre block seats when the lady told me that it was centre of the centre. oh well nm. the show was as expected ended abruptly "thanks" to the guys who were at chomp chomp yesterday for supper(not forgetting diana lol) but it was action all the way which kept me awake lol though the aliens look abit cheesy. one thing i still do not know, whats the red stuff that the alien left all over the place? my guess is well things to suck the earth's nutrients. yh has a better one, flesh of the anus of the victims which the aliens discarded lol anyone who knows can enlighten me thanks heh overall give 8 oats for entertainment. nice way of linking the start and ending to the show too.

well on to complaints. was driving on the outermost 3rd lane to xx's place along bishan road. then comes this bm 3 series, happily from the 1st lane she cut 3 lanes into MINE! bloody hell had to brake to prevent an accident. If thats not exciting enough, within seconds she joined the 4th lane which was a filter lane for u-turns and BRAKED with her damn butt sticking out! had to e. brake AGAIN to prevent accident. what a BITCH! horned and high beamed her but didn't seem to work. stared at her and guess what she's playing with her handphone. BLOODY BITCH! (refraining from using the f word, not worth it) so what if u have a bitch bm if u can't drive safely, the safty features ain't gonna keep u safe for long man, bitch.

oh well, here are some funny quotes i found on a forum

"My aim in life is to be a failure. If I succeed, I will be a success. If I fail, I will still be a success."

-D for...

disappointed, well slightly only. had been waiting to catch the show initial d since 1st news of it came out and finally caught it today. was damn excited, even booked the good seats at marina lol the directors had done a good job with the car chase sequences and art direction. however, the show just didn't seem right, to me at least. the anime was suppose to be cool and with little funny scenes in between but the movie version seemed like a comedy with every dialogue. perhaps this was a gd move by the directors and script writers to make the show more entertaining and not bore the audience with technical terms. there were a few things that is different in the show, for eg. itsuki did not buy an AE86, he bought a levin. Takumi's car broke down after he found out about mogi's affair and not before. Takumi's father was never there to watch his son race and i dun think he was a drunkard and womanizer lol The directors managed to squeeze 2 seasons of initial D anime into a 110 min movie, not too bad. Edison chen seemed too boyish to play Takahashi Ryosuke and Kyoichi seem so useless and rash in the show unlike his calm and rationale character in the anime series. But for me, the main thing was the music. the car scenes lacked the ah beng techno music behind to keep the adrenaline pumping haiz anyway, the movie makers had made a gd decision. Cars attract the guys to watch and the stars attract the girls. Once jay chou appeared in the show, girls all over started giggling and cheering... wow anyway anne suzuki is also damn chio woo! haha the movie gets 8 oats! 9 oats if i hadn't watched the anime series.

managed to catch batman begins yesterday, very good show at least better than the previous 2 colourful versions (maybe batman forever was good coz got nicole kidman haha) this one was more dark and serious and just like spiderman, it showed how human batman was as he was transforming. 2 complaints though, batman sounded quite fake with his "sorethroat" voice and his batmobile looks horrible hah katie holmes wore a nice top at the end of the show ;-) overall 8 oats for batman begins! can't wait to watch initial d, war of the worlds and alot like love heh

-SJI vs Crescent

16th june at around 9pm, the 4 sji guys ivan, alex and me together with the 4 crescentians xx, judy, michelle and jackie met at the sultan plaza ready to embark on our trip to redang. on the coach, we found our seats and were introduced to 4 girls sitting at the back of the coach by the tour agent. who is this bald guy with a funny sense of humour. he said something like "hao xiang channel U pei pei pei pei pei" i think he means he is acting like matchmaker in some channel u variety show but he didn't know that we had 4 other girls who have not boarded yet hah. due to the dim lighting, the 4 girls looked not bad but ultimately only one stood out from the rest. rivalry seemed to be buliding up between them and the 4 crescentians heh

off we went to merang jetty, on the way we had a few stops where we had ramly burger and drinks. it was then when we found out that the 4 girls smoked eeeew the roads were narrow, 2-lane and dark, just like those in the anime initial D. our driver drove like the anime too! fast and furious even overtaking cars. finally reached the jetty in the morning where we stoned for about an hour in a cafe selling nasi lemak (only rice, quarter of a hardboil egg, peanuts, ikan billis and chilli). no thanks to ivan who told me nasi minyak was nasi lemak with a fried egg and nasi ayam is nasi lemak with fried chicken lol got on the ferry at 830 and we went off into the clear blue sea to redang island.

after an-hour boat ride, we were picked up by a tram with our luggages transported to the laguna redang resort lobby. it was an awesome view of the beach from the lobby, really beautiful and nice. checked into our rooms and went for buffet lunch after that. typical restaurant buffet lunch but wasn't that good compared to the meals that came later. played volleyball which didn't really work out and beach soccer with 2 guys and 2 girls aside. soon we jumped into the water as it was really hot. damn shiok the water, very clear but very salty as well. Proceeded on with kayaking for 2 hours around the islands near redang. saw spiders and crabs on them. it was quite tiring and for alex it was damn stressful coz he had his precious ixus camera on board lol vincent and ivan was able to capsize michelle and jackie's kayak but not without getting whacked by them physically haha while xx and judy somehow managed to capsize on their own ??? what a feat our kayak with the precious camera on board was of coz granted immunity heh

we got on shore and went to laze in the swimming pool (with mirky waters) followed by a bbq buffet dinner back at the same place. at night, we bought a few drinks and played card games. this was when the real sji vs crescent battle came out and vincent became the victim and alex and the sadist haha. played heart attack, black jack and drinking game (each player takes a card, 1-5 means drink that amout of drink, red allows u to give the drink to someone else while black means u have to drink it yourself, 6 is a rhyming word game where anyone who can't continue to give a word that rhymes will be forfeited, 7 is a toilet card, 8 is a brand name game and 9 allows u to set the rules or forfeit for the rest of teh game.) forfeits like squatting down and crossing arms to pull ur own ear for the rest of the game came up. chemistry seemed to be building up between some people heh

Day 2, woke up early and began our snorkelling program while jackie went for diving. there we saw the 4 girls again in their sexy bikinis haha we were brought to marine park which was a marine conservation area. there were tons of fish in there! compared to the open sea in kohchang island thailand in our previous snorkelling trip. once u enter the water, there will be fishes everywhere, once u feed them all will rush to you. judy and michelle got abit freaked out by them heh one even bit my baby toe argh there was a shipwreck at one corner which was filled with corals and fishes hiding inside. there was a staff going around taking underwater pictures but too bad i didn't get a shot at it. After lunch, we were brought to the open sea. there were fewer fishes, and ivan had a bad idea of going further away from the boat in an attempt to see more and in the end they had to be rescued by the boat haha so malu.

after dinner, we got drinks again in preparation for the nights battle. while waiting for jackie to return from her night dive, the rest of us watched "dark water" in our room where there were audio visual and physio lol enhancements to the show with compliments from vincent and alex. exchanged ghost stories after that. when jackie returned, we proceeded with our daily dose of heart attack this time with the different level idiot rule, black jack and the drinking game haha where jackie the sgt from nccland was able to put us(including lieutenant ivan) into pushup position. played till about 3.

Day 3, time to pack up and leave, so soon. felt like we just arrived not long ago... as usual vincent was the last to pack up. rushed for our final breakfast there before setting off for the 11-12 hour journey back home. reached singapore at around 2+am and finally felt rain haha it was hot and scorching over there for the whole trip. really fun and enjoyable one, lookin forward to the next! but for now gotta rest and recover from the burns.

-cheap cheap!

went to jb with xx and the class today, had a real cheap movie deal. tuesday special of only 6rm and the theatre is comparable to cineleisure! popcorn set is only 6rm too wah both popcorn and movie ticket combined is still cheaper than 1 movie ticket in singapore! caught mr. and mrs smith, expected an action flick but surprisingly it was quite a funny show too. witty dialogues between brad pitt and angelina jolie made the whole show truely entertaining. angelina jolie looked absolutely sexy and gorgeous! enjoyed the show totally except for the ending haha where they became rambo and also think that the ending wasn't that satisfactory and complete. overall give 8.5 oats for entertainment, comedy action and sexy angelina lol

went to da ma hua yuan for seafood dinner after the show. had chilli crabs with man tou, samba kang kong, sting ray, deer meat, egg tofu, some kind of omelette, fried oysters and it only cost 138rm for 8 people. had a side show during the meal where cats were playing around with cockroaches! and running all over the place brushing against our legs. still the food was good enough to keep us there hehe hope theres more jb movie trips to come!

today was even better! started with an outing comprising of me, xx, judy and ivan. kinda wierd haha but funny at times. went shopping after that then at 7, xx and i went to take a look at 933 outdoor concert at civic plaza. started with djs wasting time and channel u superstar contestants lipsynching to lao shu ai da mi, kinda boring so we left for hmv for a walk. as we were about to go home, we passed by civic plaza again and we were damn lucky! fir was about to perform!! woohooo! went in to catch their awesome performance. they performed qian nian zhi lian, fly away, ba ai fang kai, ci niao and wu xian! damn gd! wah seh all live somemore! definitely go for their concert when they have one in singapore!! hehe what a great happy start to the hols! =D

- another complaint

had a session on gowning up for entering the op theatre yesterday, quite fun learning how to wear the stuff and wrapping the patient up heh look abit toot with the headwear, can't really see my eyes also lol

anyway finally settled the redang trip yesterday with vin. yeah heading down on june 16!! got a shocking call from my mum saying she got knocked down by a motorbike. went back to nuh to see how she was, fortunately only got superficial abrasions on her left shoulder and arm and bumps on her head. apparently she was jaywalking but that wasn't the point. the trafficlight was red and all the vehicles had stopped. so she crossed between stationary vehicles till this motorbike who zig zagged through hit her.

i've seen all these fucker mice from mars on the roads and they really piss me off sometimes. some zig zag among traffic, some ride in the middle of 2 lanes, some drive so slowly... fuck off!!! u want to ride, jollywell ride in the middle of a lane like a car, u want to ride on the outer lane better follow the flow of the traffic!! hell dun drive in between lanes in residential areas or especially if u're beside me! motorbikes = trouble.

bad day, had nerve block lesson today, well since i was the only guy who haven't been a guinea pig for demos so i got volunteered heh so i got injected by a staff on one side while my lab partner blocked the other for practice, i became a chipmunk after that. both sides of my mouth were numb and i couldn't really talk properly sounded really like a chipmunk as jon suggested no feedback from the tongue, couldn't really eat during lunch too heh had to take bits of rice and tilt my head for it to go down. bit my lips several times without knowing. but that wasn't the bad part. it was my turn to practise on my lab partner, so i follow all instructions with a dr. right beside me. however in the end i caused my labpartner some embarassment. really felt discouraged and at the same time sorry for her. i sucked. really felt very guilty but from now on i will ensure that this will never ever happen again!!

and why can't the 2 female survivors use their brains and ally together instead of voting the 3rd girl out!!! arghhh dumb!

-titleless

have been procrastinating in watching the 1st season of initial d coz of the old animation, looks abit sian, but since last week after catching teh 1st episode, damn i'm hooked. really feel the adrenaline rush and the fun of drifting and driving techiniques, things like oversteer, understeer, fr ff cars wooo somehow its of a different league from naruto so cannot compare the 2, its closer to reality. somehow can really relate to the show though i'm not a racer and i do not have a souped up car haha its probably a guys thing, to want to step more on the accelerator when u feel the presence of a car beside you or tailgating u, to feel the Gs when cornering at higher-than-what-they-teach-you-at-driving-centre speed. but i'll never go 10km/h above the speed limit, unless i'm unknowningly on a 50km/h road and i'm driving at 70-80km/h lol can't wait for the movie to be released!

2nd May 2005 | Monday | 11.48am

-night stalkers

the westside night stalkers(WSNS) strikes again! with the east folks missing in action this time. rendezvous point - lau pa sat, time - 1115. as usual we're all late haha merz came in first with ct, ds and xl. getz was second with myself and the lancer third with gf, dt, yh and ll. we sat down at lao pa sat, discussing what to eat while the satayman waited at the side. it was already 12 midnight but 50cts-a-stick satay was a little too much for us and the WSNS decided to enter the forbidden land, the circle of lust, the alternative geylang, the place with the famous nasi lemak... changi village!

by the time we got there. it was already near 1245, we entered the carpark and was greeted by a pair of boobs, ooops i mean cleavage exposing "lady". we proceeded to have our supper (finally) evil ideas of saboing our fellow classmates by giving the "ladies" someone's namecard for dental treatment and how the profs and drs would probably faint if all of them turn up for dental treatment haha how do we fill in the sex: m/f section?? gf got seduced by one of the "lady" working at the pub haha after a hearty meal, we explored the new ferry terminal, it looks real nice now with x-ray machines (??? pirated cds from ubin? drugs?) and a cool chill out pub by the sea on top.

led by enthusiastic yh and gf, we went to do the routine laps around the infamous carpark. top on the chart was this "lady" in pink, wooo look so jap with big eyes. top no doubt but she knew that we were just having fun so she kinda ignored us. then somehow someone came up with the suggestion to drive and talk to them... ct, yh and i drove down. probably they recognise us, but one of them was nice enough to talk to ct. ct manage to work his charms and exchanged a few lines with "her", getting to know her name, price etc lol then we tried to persuade dt to try again, but he didn't, so gf, ds and ct went ahead with yh being in the prime passenger seat. they manage to attract the attention of one but yh being yh got scolded by her saying something like "fail your maths ah!" lol returned the west at around 3+.

hope to have more supper outings soon, its nice to gather somewhere else other than dental school. bai tian wo men shi undegrad, wan shang wo men shi "brothers(dota/supper)" haha i believe/hope that dentistry would be like driving. initially abit scared, lack of confidence, after a while then become better - the speed limit(or "slightly" beyond) is the limit... to know the mouth just like knowing where the redlight cameras and speedtraps are... to overtake ah beng cars with ease just like tackling caries and abnormal dentition, hopefully i can be like that soon!

23rd April 2005 | Saturday | 8.48pm

-a non-dental entry

today was my 2nd visit to mandai crematorium... my sec school friend's father had passed away. after the prayer session, the undertaker van and bus left for mandai. my sec. school friend's gf decided to come with me and vin as i had drove. unfortunately, by the time we came out of the carpark, we had lost sight of the vehicles. damn, i wasn't sure with the route to the crematorium, as a result, we took a longer route there. time was critical, all i wanted was to make sure that his gf was with him by his side to comfort him. i travelled 90-100km/h most of the time and at a pt of time i passed by a tp heng he was busy booking someone else. i admit i was abit reckless at one time when i made a quick u-turn on a 2 way road when a car was right behind me but i supposed the driver anticipated that since he did not horn. fortunately, we manage to get there just in time, any delay and we would have been late. as the cremation began, i was glad that his gf was right there beside him giving him support that he needed. its real sad to lose someone u love dearly but its also at these points of time that u find out whos there for u, to give u comfort and support when u're out and down. hope that my friend would be strong and be able to cope with his exams in this situation.

i have also realised that there are many chinese traditions that i do not know. was wondering if these will be lost by the time my generation or future generations takes over, or maybe i'm the only ignorant one. things like the red strings, patches of colour codes worn on the shirt, giving out of towels and others. some traditional festivals are also not celebrated in my family. maybe these will be taught as time goes by...

wah can't wait for it to be shown, hope its gd! heh

-still adapting...

2 clinical sessions have passed since monday, definitely a slight improvement but still lacking of confidence. need to work on my socialising skills. hope things will get better and better! labwork wise, oh well sian, now that we've moved into another lab which closes at whatever time the last person leave... everyone has been staying back to do work, due to peer presure, of coz i have to stay back so as not to lag behind haiz... if only the faster people will go home and let the slower ones catch up till a point that no one has to stay back after official school hours, that is only a dream, it will never ever happen. one week has passed but it feels like a month, just like what some of my classmates mentioned. not much time for leisure, k k shit! positive, think positive, be positive!!! i so love dental school! yeah rite haha

11th April 2005 | Monday | 12.48am

-thanks dear!

only now that i realize that i haven't changed the year of previous entries to 2005, it has always been 2004 haha anyway this entry is truely dedicated to the my 1st (most probably last) love, xx... today was my 1st day at clinics, although i manage to complete what i wanted except for a badly taken x-ray, somehow at the end of the session, i felt terrible, somewhat demoralised... not sure why, perhaps i felt that i was incompetent, perhaps the doctors didn't appear pleased, or maybe i was just lost in following the procedures. but thankfully, xx was with me. though she will be having exams in 2 weeks time, she still came down and gave me 3 hours off her precious study break to be my patient. furthermore she was cooperative throughout and even encouraged me when i was down. just wanna thank God for giving me the chance to be together with such a beautiful person, beautiful in all aspects. thanks dear, really appreciate what u have done for me throughout our relationship. i shall work hard and do my best for you and all my other patients =) love u lots

-scary shit

freak! i'm afraid that all the kiasu chionging mugging signs are coming back again... for the 1st time since after exam, theres no dota oh my gdness kinda scary how i wish i could go back to sajc sighz

guess prof chew's right, he once mentioned that in his times, although they didn't have excellent grades, they had a relatively relaxing pace. now, with straight As students coming in, everyone want to outdo one another and as a result competitiveness sets in, stress results and things turn ugly in the end... hope that won't happen to us...

"I think there's something more, life's worth living for
Who knows what could happen.
Do what you do, just keep on laughing
One thing's true, there's always a brand new day
I'm gonna live today like it's my last day..."

-final week!!!!!

here we go! last week! had lunch with xx on monday and crashed her sexuality lecture haha much more interesting that the lectures i attended back in dental fac... the lecture content was interesting, the people in the lt was funny, the jokes made by the lecture was funny, so were the videos shown! but i know i will surely have problems with the exams.

The lecturer, dressed in a black long-sleeved teeshirt gave this joke.. There was this muscular guy who had really huge bulging muscles but he had a small head. So one day while in a bar, his friend asked him, "why is your head so small?" so the man gave his story. "i met this frog who said that if i would kiss it, it will turn into a genie and grant me 3 wishes" so he kissed the frog and the frog turned into a babelicious sexy genie! now the genie said," now i can grant you 3 wishes what would they be?" the man thought for a while and give his first wish " i want a body as good as arnold swarchezegger" Poof! he became so muscular that his clothes got ripped off and he was left naked. As he stared at the sexy genie, he immediately gave his second wish, "i want to have hot sex with u!!" and so the genie granted him his wish and they made passionate love for several hours. After the sex, the genie looked at the man and asked him " u have one last final wish, what would it be?" the man replied" how about giving me a little head?"

well for those who got the joke good for you! haha that was the point that the lecturer was trying to drive at, one must know both sides, the deviant and the norm in order to get the humour, hehe the guy seated in front of me was quite an interesting fellow too, or rather his bag. it began to move! didn't really noticed till xx pointed it out. a pair of ears popped out, then its whole head popped out of the bag. its a rabbit! a huge one and it was nibbling some grass. man who brings a big brown rabbit to lectures??? u'll never never ever see that in den fac. it jumped out a few times but the guy manage to shove it back into his bag.

In the evening, went to dennis tiong's place for barbecue. as usual guys out number girls, nonetheless, we had much fun heh got chickenwings, chilli sotong, sausages, cuttlefishballs and cheese prawns, my first time eating that. apparently the recipe came from someone in temasek hall. in the middle of the night, we decided to go westcoast park. we had some macdonalds then went down to the playground where we played catching! that really brought us back to childhood times(not really for me coz i was too fat last time so seldom play catching haha) damn tiring to run all over the place.

At about 2, we returned back to den's place. by now, all the girls returned home haiz left guys only. started watching shows. wanted to watch irreversible but dunno why my laptop can't read, so caught eyes wide shut instead. there was a scene where there were many ppl in a house all wearing masks, guys in black cloaks while the girls were naked and they were all having sex. kinda reminded me of the priory of sion in da vinci's code where they were practising hieros gamos. caught southpark and then played some ps2. some concussed at 5 then i had to return home.

29th March 2004 | Thursday | 10.48pm

-3rd week

what the!!! one and a half week left?? oh my so sad... and i realised that our next holidays end on 4th july rather than 1st august! what better day than 4th july arghhh and whats wrong with people these days, they cross the roads as if they paid coe, as if they own the whole damn road, as if they run the traffic police!!! ARGGHHH ppl from tiong bahru, clementi, serangoon ARGGHHH i mean its OK to jaywalk (i jaywalk oops!) if its safe but not when a car with the headlights shining at ur freaking face and u take a look and continue strolling across!! i may be nice enough to stop and let u cross but not others! some may just run u down man if u dun treasure your life then dun f**king waste the earth resources and harm other drivers on the road!!

one example, my dad was sending me to clementi mrt, he was turning into the carpark when this father brought his young son across the road. the father saw our car turning but he continued strolling across holding his son on the OUTER side... my dad stopped and gave a horn... the poor kid got frightened a little but heck what kind of responsible father would jaywalk with his kid on the outside, if anything would have happened, his poor young son would have got hit first!!!

tone... the way u speak to another, is soo important! u can make a person pissed or happy, works eitherway, when a person is sooo tired and perhaps not in a pretty gd mood, conversing in a negative tone is oh so wrong uh uh watch your tone ppl!!! guess i've been in a rather wierd mood lately, dunno why theres always a voice inside of me giving negative remarks and thoughts, making me easily irritable, i get irritated by ppl talking about school work when its holidays, i get irritated when ppl dun reply my sms, arghh think i need some cleansing...

caught eye 10 with xx on tuesday, what can i say... its a horror show but to me it seems like a comedy lol ok there are scary scenes but the funny parts seem to be more outstanding haiz as a horror show i give it 6/10 oats but as a comedy lol 7.25/10 haha but i think april (isabella leong) is quite chio hehe

24th March 2004 | Thursday | 10.48pm

-2nd week

coming to the end of 2nd week lol the sushi outing was great! having 2 bowls of chuwamushi and loads of sushi. after that went to xx's place watch amazing race. wow i must say rob and amber is really quite lucky and scheming, always able to catch up to the front. but its so fun to look at the facial expressions of the gay couple when amber and rob got onto the same flight as them wahaha take that!!

went to sentosa with xx today, prepared sandwiches and tidbits the luncheon meat was abit messy though coz i chopped them haha. it was unexpectedly crowded today with loads of tourists and also a sdu outing hehe they were playing games at tanjong beach, looks like our orientation games also met stanley and lulin there pak tohing hehe. so there we spent the day suntanning, reading books (yes reading books damn i'm actually reading a book that is over hundred pages - da vinci's code haha the last thick book that i thought i will read was wild swans my gosh! that almost killed! me had to read that for book review exercise in secondary school. good thing about this book is that the chapters are short and they always leave u in suspense at the end of the chapters to make u keep reading on, how evil is that!!) before we left, we saw jaime teo doing a bikini shoot at a jacuzzi in a beach pub wooo =P~ hee oops! went tiong bahru plaza for dinner and i finally bought avril's second album after so many months of waiting hoping that freebies will come and it finally did hehe (coz it comes with bonus tracks and a dvd yes i'm a cheapo hahaha) bonus dvd leh! wah so wu hua haha extra tracks leh! woohoo

oh well, its march already damn few days left, i wake up everyday with a head so heavy i can feel it exploding soon, studied but the stuff seems to leak out, never felt so unprepared, hopefully all goes well. "i just wanna liiiiiiiiive!!" man this gd charlotte song is so damn wonderfully therapeutic. it rocks! linkin park rocks too!! woohoooo i love them!! greenday!! jay! arghhhh wooohooooooooooooo and why angie always like to show her nipples on survivor??? why she got hair in her pits but not down there??? why ian look like he drew eyes and pasted on his specs??? damn all the mugging is making me type all this nonsensical stuff arghhh wahahahah oops...

"It’s getting hectic everywhere that I go
They won’t leave me alone
There’s things they all wanna know
I'm paranoid about the people I meet
Why are they talking to me?
And why can’t anyone see

I just wanna live
Don’t really care about the things that they say
Don’t really care about what happens to me
I just wanna live "

monday! mr hg arrived with the departure of mr ss, well mr hg came in looking bigger than i had expected, and with a few touches from dad, he became slightly more handsome heh well he is one smooth dude but gets dehydrated easily (drinks more than mr ss! i feel) overall needs some getting used to but was able to squeeze and zig zag around with him today in the park already.

-inspired!

went for prof chew's mentor mentee gathering today at his place but found out that it was more of a housewarming thing. he invited drs and profs and some stuff members as well as the usual mentees. so stanley, lin lin and i went to get our food and settled down with the more senior and profs as they warmly invited us to join them.

both dr iris and prof leong were very friendly and i downgraded his car haha he was saying that he doesn't drive flashy cars, just a COMMON and PRACTICAL car same as the taxis on the streets. my instant reaction was:" toyota?" he paused for awhile then say "taxis like the presido" oh... merz common and practical huh oops!

then came dr peter tay and dr zeng? and they joined our table... so they started with the motivational talk. well i was quite impressed, esp. with dr zeng who started out as a dentist and now running mlms, health companies, importer/dealer of aston martin who kindly gave us a nicely packaged aston martin calender. well the three of us seem out of place, the topics discussed seem to be way out of our league... the kind of cars(lambo, bently zonda), technology, politics, we kept quiet most of the time and prof leong seems to be a joker throughout heh now i'm ready the fight for my future! to get my dream car!

-the race has begun

end of week 3, probably the last week that i can enjoy with the tests and exams coming up. received news early in the week that mr. SS is going to leave us in 2 weeks time. was a bit sad and disappointed as mr HG will be taking over him... heard that mr HG is quite a slow poke haiz unlike mr SS. mr SS has been with us for quite some time now, he is always in red, he was with xx and i even before we got together and brought us around on our dates. mr SS and i had plenty of good times together having thrills and adrenaline rushes, listening to our favourite music. but i guess age is catching up on him as recently hes down with several illnesses. well... i guess theres always an end to everything, wish him all the best wherever he goes... he will be missed

had free scaling and polishing treatment on saturday yeah! thanks to Q&M woohoo now my teeth feels so clean haha and i saved 30+ bucks, keep feeling the smoothness of the teeth with my tongue haha

went down with ws and yh after that to inter year games bbq night. was quite disappointed again to see only 8 of us (ws, tt, nj, yh, sh, jr, byh and i) year 2s there while the other years had so many ppl. thought there were more coming but i was wrong. felt quite out of place during the bbq being the minority group, luckily still got the yr 2s and jacintha to talk to heh how ever things became better after the bbq. went to catch soccer at some pub with the rest of the year 2 and jacintha. she was quite funny haha went thrill seeking at old changi hospital (again) but the girls freaked out, in the end only a few of us went in but didn't explore as much as the last time i went with the sji guys.

next we proceeded on to see the trans, as sexy as we expected haha after a few rounds we lost the other cars so we went on our own to changi beach. the breeze was gd and had a fun time playing swings and see saws, watching planes fly over our heads. oh! we learnt something new too, couples now use minivans to make out instead of cars haha no wonder there were so many of them at the carpark. more spacious plus privacy hehe went back to walk around the place with the "trans" and proceeded back to the chalet. at the chalet, we played murderer and taboo throughout the night. all in all a fun night of interaction

-idol fever

wow was quite surprised when i read on the papers that taufiq's album when gold (10 000 copies sold) even before it was released! went to hmv today and saw his albums all over the shelf right at the entrance of the store. quite a few ppl were looking through and one guy just walked in, grabbed 2 copies and went straight off to pay. woo! came upon cd-rama at orchard mrt station and there was a huge crowd at the door step. my guess was taufiq's autograph session and true enough the fans all had a copy in hand. quite amazing how taufiq become this popular in such a short time, guess he joined the correct competition this time.

only realised today that every other school uses the term taupok while in sji, we call it keropok! haha

mr grey hamster managed to escape today, xx, my mum and i searched high and low but couldn't find that rascal. left some nuts on the floor and finally around 4+ (his tea time probably haha) he was finally lured him out lol

ocean's twelve, hmm what can i say, starting was a bit slow and wordy but the eventual twist and unfolding plot made up for it. always liked twisty shows. with a few funny scenes and beautiful catherine zeta jones, ocean's twelve gets 7 oats.

-life!

it was only on sunday when my bro suspected that she was pregnant... 2 days later, wahlaa ploop! ploop! ploop! ploop! ploop! ploop! she had not 1, not 2 but 6! dunno what u call that, hexaplet? its amazing how she could have 6 of them in her when she didn't appear very big. and i thought that she was a baby when i brought her home last month. well, its my 1st time seeing these cute hairless creatures. how wonderful life is!

wonder whats this ear pimple bleeding syndrome going around in class hmmm...

and why the hell are there f**kers who traffic children who lost their families to the tsunamis and f**kedup b*stards who don't treasure their lives doing stupid kamakazi bomb attacks!!??? they should be drowned in the tsunamis instead!! agrhh

-POK pssssssss!

what luck! punctured my 2nd tyre since i got my license. everything seemed so inconvenient without a car, luckily we managed to find a shop to help us replace. went to the annual sji countdown dinner cum gambling session at vin's place. this year saw fewer ppl, quite sad majority are ntu guys, nus ppl!! where are u??? anyway had loads of delicious food and tons of fun and laughter talking and during our gambling session which i lost 4 bucks. never seem to win haiz played through the night. as chris the banker won more and more, the bets got higher and higher and in the end he took back 30+ in winnings wow fast and furious, thats how the money went.

left for mt faber to catch sunrise at around 5+, saw a couple in a merz doing some funny stuff hahaha when we got there realized the peak was under construction, other areas didn't have a good view of the east, so decided to go telok blangah hill but by the time we got there, day break already hah but the air was damn fresh and the breeze was eh chilly, lots of retirees there doing morning exercises. thanks to vin for all the wonderful arrangements.

worst thing to happen was to study after all the fun... studying on the 1st day of 2005!!! a sign of "better" things to come. these microbes & viruses keep leaking out of my brain arghhh!! not helping that my neighbours are having bbq and gatherings now too. =( its hard to believe that batu ferringhi, a beach i had just visited this year and thailand just a week ago would be so badly hit but it is really touching to see how singaporeans really come out to help even though we were not as badly hit as the other countries. no matter how kiasu, selfish we may be during normal times, ordeals sometimes really bring out the best in us. ren zhi chu xing ben shan, real true. lets pray that the situation will swiftly improve.
