Do You Feel Good?

You grind my heart right under your shoes.
Your anger’s the weapon that you always use.
Does it make you feel big, like a man should?

You tell me I’m stupid. Do you find it amusing?
Does it get you off to be so abusing?

What is it with you? I don’t get it!
Why do you lose control? Why do you hit?

I feel like an animal locked in a cage.

Is it really my fault that you have this anger?

Mother Nature

Life cycles and circles
A lock with no keys
It’s gift is your body

The sunlight drifts slowly
Bright through the leaves
It caresses your body

The flowers bow forward
Ahead of the breeze
They worship your body

The grasses bend down
As if on their knees
Offer support for your body

Mother Nature’s no virgin
She does what she please
And she’s chosen your body

Store milk and store honey
A home for the bees
She’s raped your body

Flesh returns to the earth
And blood flows to the seas
She gains life from your body

Locked away from eternal bliss
A soul with no joy is hopeless

Painful thoughts like dark wraiths float
With slow speed toward places remote
Too hard to recall the words she spoke

Sharp lash of tongue and gleam of eye
Turn on the heel with no goodbye
Gray tears of sorrow rain from the sky

Hot searing flesh remembrance brings
A mournful dirge my memory sings
Of love-lorn kings and their lost queens

Heart of glass lies broken with sorrow
No hope for the future, no look for tomorrow
A love you can’t buy, a love you can’t borrow

That secret place in your eyes.
