You have reached the roleplay list of the realm of dreams. Here is where you can roleplay virtually any character you want. There are a few guidelines though which will be explained below as well as how you can apply for a character. But first let me explain the setting of the game.
The goddess of this realm is known as the fae gatekeeper of dreams. She is the essence of creation as the entire 'dream realm' is made of glamour and fictional dreams from reality. She guards her gate which is the entranceway into this land and which also 'seperates' her dimension from reality and other worlds. Of course keep in mind here this 'fantasy' setting is 'real' but I'm just using reality and fantasy to sort of compare and contrast things, bear with me.
This world starts at her gate then branches out. It first branches out into her castle or fortress. It doesn't have one shape but changes shape at her will. Inside there is a collection of looms where she weaves a variety of things. She can weave things and and out of her realm here, she can weave good fortunes for people, she can also take a look at other worlds that exist outside or inside of her realm.
After her castle there exists many places where her 'children' stay. Her children were not born to her as we know it but the gatekeeper mates with dreams and if the product is more than a source of glamour, a 'child' is born who becomes a major character in a story she tells. The Fae Gatekeeper is also a master storyteller.
Her children are unaware of her existence and normally only she can pass into their specific realm. The only one who does know of her mother is Kirakah who comes out of her 'universe' to add her mother if need be. The rest of them live in their seperate worlds unaware of what they truly are.
After the 'worlds' of her children the realm of dreams extends east and west forever. Here this land is extensive but the decision must be made to go either east or west soon for the realm of the changelings is near. If you decide to go north you will for sure enter the realm of the changelings. Here everything 'changes.' The ground shifts, the trees slide, until you are brought to another place in the realm of dreams. These can be good places, they can be bad and they can even lead of the 'deserts of desertion' where many people never return.
I hope that's a good enough explanation about the geography of the world. If you live in a specific realm you either lie east or west and should specify in what direction you live. But before you do here's some information on how to get a character.
Rules
1) The Fae Gatekeeper of Dreams--otherwise known as Euphoria, cannot be beated in anything. She is the goddess of this realm and you cannot roleplay a character that is more beautiful, powerful or whatever. I guess that kinda makes sense though because she is the goddess after all. When she changes forms though she can be hurt and when traveling doens't reveal herself as a goddess too often (FYI info).
2) Her children--live in a combination of smaller realms around her fortress. Unless otherwise stated by me you cannot enter into their realms. Now if they come out that is another story. There may be a few occasions where if you ask nicely if you can enter their realms to generate roleplay but otherwise consider you don't know them. If you want a list of her children click here.
3) The power of her children--in and out of their realms these are powerful creatures. Depending on how powerful they are and how powerful your character is you may or may not be able to defeat one. This applies to all except Kirakah who is her secondary protector, it's best not to mess with her.

You can play just about whoever or whatever you want. This is the realm of dreams so just about anything can happen! Elves, sprites, unicorns, pop rockers from the 80s, think about your dreams are your limit and what a limit!To be accepted to roleplay I do ask that you submit an applicatio n to me at euphoria@cp-tel.net . This is what I need to know:
1)Name: Of the character and your name
2) Race: Elf fairy ant bug truck driver
3) Status: Do you own your own realm or do you belong to a realm or do you just go in and out of realms in this world? Do people know you in your realm? Elaborate here.
4) Where is your realm?
5) Appearance
6) Personality --put your alignment here too--good bad or neutral. If you are bad please state whether you are just 'bad' or if you don't like the gatekeeper and why not. Yes you can dislike her if you want, just don't advertise it. There may may 'outer' forces working against her later in roleplay so you might be cast into a certain part or not
7) Powers--ok are you magical, what can you do? Please go into detail here, I do have to approve this but I'll probably be pretty easy going.

Some other things to be said:
1) The name of the list is otherworlds@listbot.com. When you reply to the list you type otherworlds@listbot.com DON'T hit the reply button of you will be sending me email, don't ask me why.
2) Be powerful here, have fun, but be realistic. Your character can die. Don't be wishy washy if things don't go your way in the roleplay.
3) Sex and Violence---SEX is rampant in real life (YAY) and so is violence (Boo) so I will expect it to be in this roleplay. Here's the deal. If you want to have your characters screwing themselves to death or gorging their vitals out with swords you are MORE than welcome too BUT!!!!!!!!!! be sure to put on the Subj header AND on the beginning of your post ADULT CONTENT READ WITH CAUTION. Also if anyone on this roleplay list is under 14 let me know who you are and just for my sanity let me know if your parents mind this stuff or not. If they don't mind it great, if they do and if I get angry emails from them I will simply tell them it's not my fault you should of told me. Regardless for all you young people I'm going to treat you like an adult about things, if you get in trouble for something you saw here it's not my fault but YOURS! ALSO: rape scenes are allowed but make sure that they are consenstual and if you want to pose a rape scene to the whole list put ADULT CONTENT--RAPE SCENE at the beginning of it. YOU MUST do this!
4) Also be considerate if other people. Don't roleplay someone's character if they don't want you to and assume they don't want you to unless they told you. NPCs are allowed but if it's someone really really really powerful speak with me about it first.
