Eve and Z's Page

Eve-n-Z

We've had Zsa Zsa Gaburro since she was a few months old and weighed less than 75 pounds. We normally call her Z as her full name is quite a mouthful! She loves to work and go on adventures. Whether it is plowing snow at breakneck speed with us laughing and yelling whoa, or Eve riding in the mountains, this is no pokey donkey!

In regards to the nosebleeds and possible gutteral pouch infection, Everything worked out OK! The trip was interesting, and WSU has first rate equipment and doctors. She is now 100%, Sorry it took me so long to update this.

Riding in the desert

We used to live near the Canadian border in North Central Washington on a very hilly piece of property. Cold winters and hot summers were the norm. We built an into the hillside house, which worked out wonderfully. We also built into the hillside dens for our dogs, which they loved! Level ground was truly dear, and we even thought about building a stall for "Z" this way. The big question was, should we call it a Burro Burrow, a Donkey Den, or an Ass Hole!

A recent trip to the high country in the Elkhorns near Twin Lakes. That's our 12 year old Rottweiler leading the way back down the mountain!

Twin Lakes

This is from up on top. You can see the meadow below, the last photo was taken at the lower end, just into the trees. From up here, the trail and stream are just threads. Phillips Lake is in the background, and the little town of Sumpter OR is just to the right out of the picture.

We finally made it to twin lakes! Read about our adventure.
