The
Night
The night has always had a strong
seduction for me. Practically, I am allergic to sunlight so the night is
relief from the sun. Emotionally, the allure is much stronger. The darkness
is enveloping, mysterious, romantic. It is secretive, safe and dangerous
at the same time. It allows the belief in the mystical that the sun keeps
at bay. Since ancient times, the night has been the stage of whispered
secrets, hidden rituals and beings. The night
is female to the masculine sun, emotional rather than logical. The stars
and moon across the darkened sky are coldly silent witnesses to all that
the night conceals. The moon, our closest celestial body, has been worshipped,
feared, loved and speculated about as long as beings have been sentient.
It rules the tides and emotions. Over the years, I have collected fact,
fiction, and folklore about the moon and will be posting it as time permits
as a resource for all others who love the moon.
This Page Will Probably be Eternally Under
Construction so Check back for updates often. :)
