I often observe people living their
daily lives day in, day out, and I've seen them get lost in complacency.
People forget the extraordinary, or deny it because it is safer and easier
to stay in the shallow end. It 
terrifies
me to think of becoming one of these people. I need to experience the extremes;
it reminds me I'm alive. I never want to sleep-walk through life. I love
to do new things, go places, I like the thrill I get from danger. I like
to explore. I love to play in thunderstorms, and feel the rain sting my
skin and the lightning and thunder and wind assaulting me. I love chaos
and the sense of losing control. I have this passion that drives me, and
often hurts me, for as the cliche goes, if I experience the heights, I
also feel the deepest pain. But you know, I think I would rather deal with
the pain than miss the joy. It seems many people would rather do the opposite.
Have you ever really felt
passion? Have you loved with all of your soul, a painful love that rips
apart your life? Have you felt it with a deep violence, a primal force
beyond thought that makes adrenalin rush through you? And have you lost
it? And do you still cherish the memory of that which hurt you so deeply?
