The Importance of, and Understanding Dreams

At night when everyone goes to sleep we enter a form of sleep called REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. During REM sleep we dream; however, most of us dont recall our dreams. And the ones we do recall tend to be little bits and pieces from the last dream of the night or right before we awake.
I'm not going to tell you how to interpret your dreams, for things mean different things to different people. Through out my practice of the craft I have bought 2 books for dream interpreting and I have found out that they are very different; however, they have helped me to think more about what each little thing in my dreams means to me, although the 2 books say my dreams mean something else. This may or may not be the same for you. Personally I suggest that people dont go out and buy dream interpretation books for quite often they are a waste of money. The only time I would suggest buying any is if you are having a hard time interpreting the dreams yourself.
When you buy a book dont take everything seriously, use it as a guide, to guide you to your own interpretations. But before you go out to buy any books, I suggest you try really hard for at least a few months. Start by saying to yourself over and over, just before you go to bed and as you're getting into bed...."I will remember my dreams in the morning" or something very similar to it. Then keep a dream journal and write down everything you can remember about your dreams in the morning. Write down as much detail as possible, everything counts! Dont worry about the first few times, you wont remember too much detail. But the more you work at it the more you will remember.
Try to review your dreams every month, and think hard what they could mean to you. Again, dont fret if you cant think what it could mean. Perhaps the Lord and Lady dont want you to know the reason for your dreams as of yet! Have patience and in time you'll understand the meanings of your dreams.
