unenlightened) for them. The best answer I can find is: Habit. I know the people and they know me(or at least the ones with more than two braincells to rub together). Sometimes we even have what passes for an intelligent conversation.

The two chatrooms in question are Mers and Stars, alike in almost every way. They share mostly the same visitors, and their similarities led me to make a cc which displayed both rooms at the same time. I'm constantly updating my the cc, and be warned that some computers crash more often when displaying two chats at once. Like the Cult of the Octopus™, Mers/Stars Combined has its own link page and navigation bar, along with a short guide to the terminology and slang of the chats.
