CHEERS AND JEERS
Hello there... This is your friendly Neighborhood Quint making his rounds with "CHEERS AND JEERS"
CHEERS to Paperbagman. Now that CN&V is back up, perhaps we can get some good old fashioned columns again.
JEERS to Hammerlock. Let me explain: They have some damned good quality reporters. But some of them only post on a bi-weekly basis. Some of them on a bi-monthly basis. Who would have known that Nightstalker was still around? Not me, until last week, a few days before the reset, he did a brief CWF news post. My point? Scrap the newsboard! It was the Columns which not only gave Hammerlock the feel of a real Wrestling Tabloid, but also the good old quality reporting. Good reporters, such as Jobber, Yell, and Poisen Ivy are working hard. But there are a lot of reporters with a lot of potential that just aren't trying.
CHEERS to the Demise of the All Stars. Yes, they were great. Yes, they all won Ultimate Belts. Yes, they will go down in history as one of the greatest stables ever. But towards the end they got stale. Stuff from the old days started to come back and be recycled. The newness and unpredictible fun that partially made up the All Stars was gone. And I think they realized this, too. Thats why they left- They wanted to be gone while everyone still thought they were cool and hip. And thats exactly what they did. Good thinking.
JEERS to C-Slam 4.0. I haven't read the Slammer interview yet, and hopefully he will shine light on this. When I first came in June, 1998, rumors were rampant- and as I was told, HAD been running rampant- of C-SLAM 4.0. Then, one day on AOL, people were telling me they heard it was coming in October. These were VERY reliable people. October came...no 4.0. THEN they said it was coming in November. So I waited... no 4.0. I contacted them. They said the rumors were false- All of us had been mislead. And so here we are now, almost a year later, and still no 4.0. Come on...either scrap it or at least start putting it up. We're desperate.
Thats all the praising and bitching I have in me tonight. See you next week.
