Dalamar is a dark elf from Sylvenesti who was exiled because he tried to learn more magic than was allowed his caste or class. He was dragged to the edge of the forest and told never to return. Dalamar then traveled to the forest of Wayreth and took the test to become a mage. His test was about his feelings for his homeland and the emotional damage his exile had inflicted on him. Dalamar chose to wear the black robes of evil magic and progressed quickly through the ranks. Dalamar volunteered to spy on Raistlin Majere while Raistlin tried to enter the Abyss. Dalamar wanted to have the greatest teacher possible and that was Raistlin. Dalamar stayed on as Raistlin's apprentice even after Raistlin told him that he knew he was a spy and burned five seeping wounds into Dalamar's chest with his fingertips. Dalamar had a relationship with Raistlins half-sister Kitiara Uth Matar and was also responsible for her death after she tried to kill him. Dalamar became the head of the black robes prior to the chaos war and after Justarius's death Dalamar led the entire conclave. Dalamar led an investigation of the rift during the chaos war but has since disappeared.
