Fizban is a befuddled old mage that wears mouse-colored robes and a shapeless hat that he usually loses. More often than not he can't remember his name or his spells. Most people believe that he's just a senile old mage but in reality Fizban the Fabulous is one of the avatars of the god Paladine. Fizbans first recorded appearance is at the beginning of the war of the lance,at the Inn of the Last Home in Solace. He became friends with the companions later, especially Tasslehoff Burrfoot. After the Summer of Chaos Fizban made his final appearance on Krynn to say goodbye to the remaining companions and to Palin Majere. When asked by Palin if magic still remained in the world Fizban replied "Not as you know it. There may be other magic. It is up to you to find it."
