A note from the author: Welcome to "PENGUIN$", a fan fic version of alternate reality. So, okay, fine, yes I know that it's been a few years since "PENGUIN$" was written and it starts with a premise that's never happened in the series by Laurell K. Hamilton. If you're a fan you know what happened after "Blue Moon", and "PENGUIN$" sure ain't anything close. But hey, it is a fan-fic parody and people who've read "PENGUIN$" have told me it's a lot of fun. The Story: Traumatized after being unable to stop the violent execution style deaths of both the men she loved, Anita Blake becomes the victim of a road trip gone very wrong. With blood still fresh on her hands from the slaying of Sigmund, the penguin she once trusted and held dear, the necromancer finds herself in Toronto on the eve of the Penguin Army's plans for world domination and with a pack of rare, innocent and powerful Purple Penguins to rescue. Together with a team of ruthless mercenaries - and the occasional ghostly intervention by a certain vampire and werewolf that can't seem to stay dead - can Anita save the Purple Penguins and the World? Or will she, along with the rest of humanity, fall into the iron grip of the dreaded flightless waterfowl?
