In 1992 Hasbro tried to revive the Transformers. They began by releasing original designs from the first Generation with repainted colors (including Sideswipe, Optimus Prime, etc). Then the line expanded to many more repaints and unique original designs. Although it did celebrate success within the first couple years, it came to an end after a nice four year run. However, within the years of it's life, the toyline had some excellent figures and must be given credit for the chance taken to bring back the TF's we grew up with. Just walking into K-Mart and seeing a Constructicon on the shelf was worth the chance taken Hasbro/Kenner took with Generation 2.
