Quake 3: Server-Side Jailbreak sports the following features:

FULLY-FUNCTIONAL JAILBREAK

Basically, this means that if you die, you go to jail. If someone comes past the jail, jailers can be freed. Since there are NO client files, jailbreak is played in normal Q3 and CTF maps. In a CTF map, the jails are located at the flags; in a DM map, the server can specify the jail locations with a simple script file.

PARTIAL ROUNDS

Jailbreak is nearly impossible without partial rounds. Basically, this means that the game checks every frame to see if the whole team is captive and partially resets the game. Full round implementation is somewhat tricky, but Jailbreak does not demand a full refresh and reset after the team goals (of capturing a team) are completed.

ENTIRELY SERVER-SIDE

I figured this important feature would be much appreciated. Client-Side games require downloads and installs that the client may not want. Furthermore, it prevents a simple game like Jailbreak from becoming something of a TC with new skins, models, and more significantly, maps. Clients need nothing more than finding a server to play this mod.

JAILBREAK AND CAPTURE THE FLAG

Since Jailbreak is not a standalone mod or a TC, it's very easy to combine Jailbreak and many of the team games provided by Quake 3 and possibly Team Arena. Flags and Jails can be separated if the map has the flag and team spawn entities. Otherwise, they must be located together.

CTF IN NON-CTF MAPS

Since a script must be executed to load the jail locations in most maps, using the same feature to load CTF flag locations is a simple extension. A server can make the flag locations script file, and designate specific locations for the flags in a map that may not posess the entities.
