This experience is nothing like any attraction here in Las Vegas. It is fun for everyone, friends, family, and anyone who likes sci-fi, even one's that are not into sci-fi (believe me, I've taken people on the ride that weren't into Star Trek and they liked it). This is a 22 minute journey into time and space. But, before you begin your journey, there is a way cool Star Trek timeline, which includes the beginnings of man's quest to travel in outer space (I personaly like the fact that there is a insert on the time line dedacated to the astronauts of the space shuttle Challenger who tragicly lost thier lives. God's speed to them). Along with the time line, there are models of NASA ships and probes, actual moon rocks donated by NASA, and of course Star Trek props that range from the original series, the movies, the Next Generation, and DS9. As you walk along, there are inserts from all Star Trek generes playing on the video screens around you which all have themes. These videos are avaliable for sale in the shops in the promenade of DS9. I cannot tell you what you will be experiencing because I am sworn to secrecy, however, once you have arrived safely back to the Las Vegas Hilton, there are shops you can explore and of course, Quark's Bar and Grill. At Quarks, the food is plentiful (don't be affraid of the prices, believe me you get what you pay for!) and the atmosphere is out of this world. Ok, I'm sorry, I couldn't think of another phrase to describe it. But, beware of the Ferrengis and the Klingons roaming the promenade, they like photo oppertunities and you may just pick up a few things about thier culture. All in all, it truely is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
If you are interested in Star Trek:The Experience and will be visiting Las Vegas soon, you can call 1-888 GO BOLDLY or visit Star Trek:The Experience online to reserve your tickets. It is not necessary, however, to purchase tickets to eat at Quark's or to visit any of the shops. If you are not that much into rides, you can go visit the time line and see the props they have set up, but you do have to pay to see the time line and props (which is obviously less evpensive than the ride). Star Trek:The Experience is located in the south tower of the Las Vegas Hilton (one block east of The Strip on Paradise). There is an entrance off the south tower once you get inside the Hilton, so if you have any children who will be going on the Experience, they don't have to walk through the casino area (since the casinos don't really like kids in the casino area due to the gambling laws here). Finnaly, there is the Space Quest casino just before you enter Paramount Park. It offers the ambiance of your journey into Star Trek:The Experience.
