You are Roach. You must avoid being killed and save your friends
so that all bugkind can live in harmony.
(Either that or you can just blow the Queen away and dance on her
pulsating carcass.)
In the lastest installment in the Roach saga, Roach finds himself in the midst of an all out war for survival. With the evil Queen Bee destroyed and danced upon (this happens in level five which may or may not ever be uploaded) Every insect in existence wants a piece of Roach. Mr. Scary Caterpillar, the Queen's old adviser, has organized an insect militia to destroy Roach and his freinds. Roach was captured, along with his only surviving friend Olaf, and is now being forced to battle in an arena against spiders, ants, wasps, and his invincible evil twin Roy G. Buggins. All the while being bombarded by spiked balls. For Roach to escape each level with his life, he must gain 2000 pts during each battle. If he survives this he must do battle with the evil Mr. Scary Caterpillar.
Game play in Roach v3.5 is lightyears beyond the origanal Roach series. If this were the 1970'S and I weren't only 18 I might be a very rich man. you use the ijkl and spacebar keys to manuver and fight. Roach can electrify his antenae while touching an enemy to destroy it. Instructions are included with the game. Version 3.5 has sound effects (created by me,) a highscore board, a secret level, and a hidden (but easy to find) stage select option. Paying the shareware fee is optional. I'd really rather you just try the game and then tell me you liked it (lie and spare my feelings, I'm a fragile shareware goth.)
Roach is a ShareWare game created by A. Joseph Rheaume using HyperCard 2.1. Special thanks to Joseph Debono for creating "Home Sweet Home".
