The people who knew him recognized his genius for simple solutions to complex problems. He once told me that, "If you want to find the easiest way to do a job, ask the laziest man that you know". His words of wisdom will probably never be quoted in any great books, but too many libraries are filled with "great" books that don't contain much practical wisdom. All I can say is, I had to grow up a lot, before I understood his intellect.
There were four children in our family. Each thought they
were dad's favorite. That was probably hard to do, but his real genius
was in making it look easy.
