Listen to my twisted rendition of the pop classic "Heart and Soul." I know it's not too fancy, but (and, yes, I am defending myself) the shareware program I used for the midi only allowed three parts at a time. However, if you are too willing to let me slide by with such a weak excuse, I would counter myself by pointing out that Rachel uses the same program. Of course, I wouldn't let that argument go without opposition, so I'd verify that Rachel is good, an argument even I couldn't dispute. "Stopping By The Woods" is a song I did in Music Theory last semester. It's one of my favorites, and is set to Robert Frost's text of "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening." Also check out some of these other works-in-progress: "a-minor intro," "running," "hokey," and "old." The names aren't really indicative, but these songs are fun for me. "Running" is my mom's favorite and includes orchestration of many instruments, "A-minor" builds upon itself sort of like African spirituals, only in a westernized manner, "hokey" is... hokey, and "old" sounds like it was done in an old style. Again, none of these are really finished, so don't tear me apart! |
