Whilst on holiday I read a post card on sale which read:-
We don't want:-Double Glazing
Conservatories
Life Assurance
Home Security
Extensions
Financial Adviceso don't call, don't telephone
Just go away !
The card was meant to be put up on your door back home to dissuade
salesmen from calling at your house.
We dislike people calling trying to persuade us to part with our money. They often try to capture our interest by claiming the product they are selling will save us money on our heating bills etc etc but we are not fooled it will cost us.
We are right to be wary of being "conned".
If I told you of an offer of eternal life as a free gift would you dismiss it out of hand or read the "small print" and perhaps talk to someone else who has taken up the "offer".
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that
everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life." (John
Chapter 3 verse 16)
"God's free gift is eternal life" (Romans Chapter 6 verse 23)
