Valley of the Shadows

There are times in our lives when bad things happen. I don't mean just a bad test grade or even a broken arm or something like that. Sooner or later we must all face events like the death of a close friend or relative. Sometimes it comes suddenly, with no warning at all. Sometimes it comes slowly as someone suffers from a disease like cancer. It is not always death. It might be an accident that causes injuries so severe that it takes years to recover. It may be an inury which wipes out the possibility of pursuing what you truly love, like gymnastics, or music, or some other activity. It could be something that will never be overcome, like paralysis or blindness.

This part of Teen Mountain is dedicated to providing information, inspiration, support, encouragement, and understanding for those who face life's tragedies. If you have an experience you wish to share, please do. (For now, you may have to write in our guestbook, or send email to jsierra57@yahoo.com. Soon we expect to have a better way for you to submit items.) If you know of good links to help with these issues, share those too. Have you read a good book? Let us know. We want to make this part of the mountain a true place of comfort for those in need, and a place to remind us all of just how precious life and good health really are.
