For over two years I have been trying to get this view from the mountain to the north of Amiad. and this is the best I seem to be able to do. That is the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) in the distance, and if you look really carefully through all those shades of "non-colour", those are the Golan Heights.

It is almost impossible to try and accurately describe kibbutz today. The ideology is changing and there is a general move towards privatization and the individual. I am going to try and introduce you to Kibbutz Amiad through meeting people. I have started with the some of the artists, all members, some friends and let that lead me to the many different aspects of kibbutz life. This is an ongoing project but it will get done.
