Torah Ore was founded in 1952 by HaRav Chaim Pinchus Scheinberg shlit'a. It was later divided into two parts: American and Israeli. When HaRav Scheinberg saw the laxity of the students in their development of reading skills, he felt it was necessary to open up a program which can cater to the needs of his students. This program grew into what is now known as Yeshiva Shaare Chaim.
Shaare Chaim is a yeshiva where its students can develop their skills and perspectives within a two year time period. Students learn the most basic skills which are necessary to understanding the Gemara. There is a close relationship between every student and rebbi, which is something lacking in most yeshivas today.
The yeshiva is under the auspices of HaRav Scheinberg.
