What a glorious day to be alive. The sun is trying to burn its way through the classroom curtains and the plastic insulation around the window. One ray of light has been captured by the plastic and seems to be suspended in midair. It glows and dims as the clouds pass by like a flickering candle yet, frustrated, unable to give off heat. Inside the classroom, students use their imaginations to create stories beneath artificial light. The illumination comes from within as the spark of an idea is ignited.-Terry Phillips
There's a lot of complaining about the room. For me theres been a big break throught you see. I step throught the door not knowing what was in store, or what was awaiting me. But I learned so much more stepping throught that door. Theres hold new world in store. So don't be complaining. About this room theres a place here to be you to learn and to see. Just what you can be. Oh this room is so special to me. I did not wish to come here you see. I heard stories of how it would be. But for me theres no place I would rather be. Then this little room where I can be me. For theres protential for each one is special to be what they can be. I learned that hear you see.-Erma Adler
My Recipe for Success
We all look to be successful in life and usually we associate this with how much money we have left over at the end of each month and how many nice thing that we have around us. You see first of all this is not the true measure of success although it is important to have enough money to pay our bills.
To me being a success is to have love around one at all times; by family and friedns by exhibiting a positive attitude in all things we do; to always present ourselves with a smile and a pleasant greeting on our lips for every one even when it is not our best day. To most people this is worth more than Gold.
If one carries this into lifes challenges we as a people can and will conquer our bigest hurdles by never looking back at what was yesterday but focusing on what a new tomorrow can bring for us.
Today if one needs help in doing this all you have to do is think positive and ask for help. If you are like most and don't think you need the help of a psychologist well I am here to tell you that you don't need to for there are others out there that can help. There are the Ministers of all Church's, counselor's at different Family organizations, counselors at Manpower, counselors at Income Assistance and last but not least the ones at Life Work Connexion's. These people are trained to keep things confidential and to work for each individual and to help direct you in the right direction for a better future.
Always be willing to accept that every thing that is worth having is going to take quite awhile to achieve so don't become discouraged for these things are achievable; it just takes confidence and trust in one's own ability. One only has to remember that taking things one step at a time and with patience you can conquer most things on your own but be willing to seek guidance when needed.
One is only as poor, under educated and under achiveing as one want's to be so please set goals for yourself and as you achieve each goal set new one's but remember again small steps are more attainable and will make up a very large goal in the end.
So always be Proud of Yourself for Success is not measured by what you accomplish today but by what is accomplished over many, many todays and tomorrows.
