Welcome........
Welcome to my band's un-official band page created by me. I would like to personally welcome you to make yourself at home. But first a proper introduction.Introduction........
Macon High School, located in Macon County is approximately sixty miles from the Iowa border line. Macon is not a large town but our over population of deer in these wood makes up for the shortage of people. Coming from a town containing approximately 5,571 people, our high school has about four hundred students walking its halls. And of those four hundred students at least seventy of them are in the Macon Marching Tiger Band. The seventy include brass, woodwinds, drums, and flag corp. Not everyone in the flag corp. is officially in band but this marching semester they are.
Information.........
Our band (during concert band) has received thirty two years of consecutive one ratings at District Contest. We have also won numerous awards in marching band as well. (Come into our band room and look at the shelves, you'll see what I'm talking about.) We also have a Jazz band, or rather, a Jazz Combo. Every year the size changes, so later I might have a head count for you.On another note, Macon High School is one of the highest ranked bands in the state. (Yes, I am tooting my own horn.) But how else to share victory without bragging?
All The Rest..........
We also have a good football team who's games we play at, and we also have cheerleaders who has won second at state! Our basketball team is cool, and our softball team has won first in districts. We have a HUGE Student Council. There is a lot of band people in student council so its cool. Our choir is very good. Their musical this year was, "Oklahoma". It was so good. I have a lot of friends that was part of the cast so I thought they all did great!
