Dear Parents, Students, and staff:
Welcome to the 1998-1999 school year; and congratulations to all of you!
Again we have achieved "exemplary status" on End-of-Grade Tests
and in student growth and performance. In fact, North
Wilkesboro
Elementary was one of several schools in Wilkes County to attain this status.
Hooray for the great state of Wilkes. !
Having met and exceeded goal expectations set by the state of North Carolina,
you are again commended for a job well done. For the second time we have
done something right; thus, it behooves us to maintain all that
was good and profitable for student growth and achievement. A special
thanks to everyone. Teamwork is the key.
As we begin a new school year, we must focus on continuous school improvement,
with our
ultimate
goal being "to maintain our exemplary status" and, at the same time, pursuing
even higher standards.
Let's continue to target hard work, high expectations, and our firm commitment
to student achievement, and let's continue to focus on parent involvement;
parental support is the key to an effective school.
We are counting on you, our parents, to join us again this year in our
effports to promote excellence and continued student growth and achievement.
The 1997-1998 school year proved to be great year. I challenge each of
you to do your part to make 1998-1999 even better. Our doors are always
open to you.
Sincerely,
E.
