Almost everyone is aware of the Eastern philosophies mention of spots of energy on the body. These are called the Chackras. In Eastern tradition there is seven of them, I feel that there are more. They are each given a special function and path. In the East they believed that all illnesses came from an inbalance of these energy points. As Pagans we know better. Most dis-eases come from things existing in the astrall plain, destiny, Well Of Wierd, Shadow self, etc. or somethings on this earth, like faries or other energy-life forms. However we often overlook how much truth there is in Eastern Phillosophies. There are severall problems that may arise from an inbalance of these centers. They each have a certain role to play in your bodies functions. Thus I feel that it is important that they are mentioned.
First off, the Chackras are energy points in the body. these are there for several reasons. It has been sugested that they are places where the kundali flow rests at, thus giving them the vital energy. Yet in a way they are part of what makes the kundali flow. They are perhaps just guidelines for which the kundali must go by. Each one being a turn, or pattern of energy which if out of balance, or in the wrong "vibe" may offset the kundali flow. Thus resulting in effects of mood, health, public opinion, etc. Each one has an energy pattern which dictates certain organ systems in your body. Thus to sum up: Chackras controll you in a lot of ways (NOTE: they are just one of the factors that come into play inside of you).
each chackra has its own color (to be used if the chackra is found to be devitalise). It is usualy the custom to use the opposite color to lower the "vibes" of the overactive chackra. I believe that if it is overactive that one should raise energy in the other chackras rather than lowering the "vibes" of that one to meet others.

crown chackra- on the very top of the head, half in, half out of your head.
fifth eye-this is about in the middle of your forehead.
third eye-this is right between your two physical eyes.
throaght-this is in the center of the throaght.
heart-this is located right over your heart
solar plexus-this is located over your solar plexus, right under your rib cage
spleen-this is located neer the bottom of your stomach
sex/root-this is located right over your sexual organ
left-hand-this is located right on the palm of your left hand.
right hand-this is located on the palm of your right hand
left knee-this is located at the join of your left knee
right knee-this is located at the joint of your right knee
left foot-this is located in the center, at the very base, of your left foot
right foot-this is located int the center, at the very base, of your right foot
