I'm in the process of revamping this whole site. I'm simplifying the look a little and toning it down some. I'm going to try to keep this up to date and to re-do all or most of the stuff you'll find here. So, keep coming back to see the changes! - Steven

". . .a line will take us hours maybe,
Yet if it does not seem a moment's thought
Our stitching and unstitching has been nought.
Better go down upon your marrow bones
And scrub a kitchen pavement, or break stones
Like an old pauper in all kinds of weather;
For to articulate sweet sounds together
Is to work harder than all these and yet
Be thought an idler by the noisy set
Of bankers, schoolmasters, and clergymen
The martyers call the world."

-William Butler Yeats
"Adam's Curse"

A big thank you to Rafael at The Short Story Classics: The Best From The Masters Of The Genre for allowing me to copy the wonderful music that you are (hopefully) hearing now. His is a great site with links to lots of great shorts. I figured out that on Explorer the music doesn't sound so hot but on Netscape (at least the newer version that I use) it sounds best. So, if what you're hearing sounds like someone clinking on beer bottles, switch over to Netscape if you want to hear it clearer, or just click on a link above and it'll go away!
